Thank you! It's definitely not black—it was more of a dark blue, like Prussian blue. I love the striped border on this scarf; it feels unique and different.

Thank you so much, dear SilkCouture. And - as always - your photos are so so beautiful and so inspiring that I am tempted to pull the trigger immediately. I love it! Though my "new sensible Me" kicks in: the border appears to be dark blueish shimmering stripes and white? - NOT black and white ? Edited: this might absolutely be my "antique" screen that is why I would like to make sure I get it right. Thank you so much again.

Dear scarfies,

I received my navy Tulipomanie triangle yesterday. The design and colors are beautiful but strangely enough it is not instant love 🙃

I do not know if it is the scale of the flowers, or the almost identical colors of my La Selle Imaginaire….

I will give it some time, but I might try out the grey Tulipomanie (with the neon flowers) before pulling the trigger on this design.

Agree with @redheaddem ! These are so much alike!

OMG!!! I did NOT realize these two would be so similar! I own this SI also. Lol H is not making it easy for me to buy my first GT this season.

Thank you @Ashanti_Rose! The design is very pretty and I can see why you are tempted. I know you love your shawls very much and it is also my preferred format, but I must say I have three Triangles now and they might become my most used format (temperatures permitting so perhaps not in wintertime). I find that the Triangles drape even nicer because they is less fabric to work with.

I will have a look out for the monochrome Tulipomanies, I especially like the black and white version.
That’s good information. I don’t have a giant triangle yet because my brain tells me it is only “half of a scarf and less versatile “. I think the aspect of easier draping is very convincing.

Here goes my - yet again fruitless try - to multiquote ... lol ... so: Thank you dear @SilkCouture and @GloWW0rM for clarifying and - Preventing me yet again (DH says Thank you xtimes, too,- for these kind of colours I have a sleeping "Au bout du Monde" (too gorgeous on - as so so far too often the lovely @LKBNOLA - presented - and immediately became an absolutetly "OMG this one I HAVE to HAve" - though reality check on me... :sleepy: ... and some more purchases like that - so lovely on others, yet a totaly different number on me...)
Perhaps not quite on topic: Wish we could have an "exchange bourse tpf-members longtime trustworthy ones ..." - would exchange in a hot minute for this one ...
Thanks! And PS: I loove the border - though blueish? (Even DH stopped counting blueish after xxx digit numer of blue variations of scarves and xxx CSGMs and Stoles and ?:whut::wtf:)

I see the point of having less fabric to deal with - alas I do like extra fabric with CSGM.. I think if Tulipomanie was a 140, I would definitely go for it; with triangles I have second thoughts. It is a gorgeous design - I would love if they would reissue even 90s in more colorways - there is so much potential which wasn't fully explored...

Maedi, my take is that there’s room for both in a collection because of the versatility, but I’m not sure I’d repeat colors. That’s why I joined team ‘maybe not both the blue Selle and the blue Tulipomanie’. :flowers:

ETA I don’t have the Selle so the Tulipomanie is still on my list.

They really are so similar. But a different format. So I guess depending on your existing collection it could work or not.

Do you know if you are going to keep it @MAGJES? I have decided to wait and try some different cws.
I “think” I’m going to end up sending it back. I think if I was 100% in love with the Navy GT I would keep it but I was not that taken with it when I opened the box. Honestly the Vermillon looks fun! Plus I also have On a Summer’s Day GT in the Navy colorway and white contrast hem.

This dilemma actually reminds me off the time I purchased the blue/gray neutral Act III CSGM and found that it was really really similar to my Samouris blue/gray CSGM. Of course the Samouris won that battle.

Re: Samourais. I just recently added blue/gray CW of CSGM to my collection - couldn't resist either:) I think Samourais gets the gold medal of the H Olympics - its record is unbeatable...

And to be on topic - I don't have the La selle of the same CW, but I think I will stop by the boutique and see if I can try it on before orderting/buying. I secretly crave BW monochrome - but I have claire de lune in addition to a few other neutral ones... hard to justify another one>>> Vermillon IS fun indeeed!

Good point. I am tempted both by Tulipomania and Jungle Love. I only have one CSGM in navy which doesn’t get worn that often although navy tops are my uniform.
