@redheaddem Thank you for tagging me! I’ve been eager to see the model shots. I’m sorry that you don’t love it. Tough decision, but I’m leaning towards liking the 03 better because of its white background. The colors on the 01 are very attractive, but I’m not a huge fan of the beige/natural background I added my photos for comparison.

It’s a difficult choice since they are all beautiful and drape wonderfully. I added @LKBNOLA 09 and 06 for those still interested in this CSGM.

Gorgeous shawl and you look lovely! I too would prefer a white background.

Dear Silk, what colorway is lower right pic? Is this 06 with neutral/oatmeal background? I happen to love it…

I hope I haven't missed any other new-ins. I just got my second Vallee de Cristal for which @Ladybaga and @Maedi were the proximate cause of enablement. This was a design not on my radar at all so I am a bit gobsmacked to find that I have not one but two unicorns...It is a very unusual scarf in the richness of the coloration/saturation in every corner and the I find that the design is quite dynamic-- it has movement and flow. Bienvenue and Hermes did a wonderful job.
Thanks to everyone for all the great analysis and photos and to @momasaurus and @Redbirdhermes for the green comparisons and to everyone who weighed in on the wearability factor...I so appreciate the insights of this thread!
Dear LKB, even though I liked this design from the start, I wasn’t planning to buy two CW.. but ended up with pink in addition to green - and I don’t even like it wear much pink or purple! I just couldn’t resist the scarf’s beauty. I think it is a stellar design - I would be curious if CSGM is in the works for next season/s… I’d be in trouble:))

Perfect collage! Seeing them side by side I wonder if I should try cw 06, it is stunning

Oh and I prefer white backgrounds to natural background as well

Thank you so much for this wonderful collage. I really like this design.
And I feel the same way: the natural (and gris chiné, too) backgrounds of so many CSGMs make them rather off-putting for me, because not only do they not flatter me, they literally drain the colour from my face, though this might be probably more for the "unpopular opinion" thread.
I wish: More (wool)white/light cream-coloured/ivoire backgrounds instead of naturel or gris chiné, please please, dear Hermès... Run into hiding ... :panic:

Edited: While I was still wording in English, some more posts were added - maybe my wish for a white background isn't quite for the unpopular thread after all...

@redheaddem, I believe the two shawls that you truly love in your collex-- your Selle Imaginaire and your Botanica Grafica are quite vibrant when tied near your face, if memory serves. This is beautiful but definitely more subdued, whereas the cw I have has some very bright pink and red sections. I do agree with @Ashanti_Rose that these colors are beautiful and suit you perfectly but it is softer and perhaps it wants a softer neutral or blue top (like the hem) rather than black? But you know your wardrobe and you have to love a CSGM for sure! Did you try other seasonal options like En Liberte or are you looking for something more graphic?

Thank you @LKBNOLA, you have always such insightful comments :-) I think I am indeed missing some more vibrant parts close to my face. I did not try other CSGM this season, I do like the vert loden en liberte but did not pull the trigger yet… I guess what I really want is not available this season, a really wintery option with warm reds, caramels and browns…

Oh I hear you and I think it just depends on one’s undertones, I have seen magical greys on some here, but for me, I prefer white and ivory backgrounds as well ;-)

I am on the same page with you. I much prefer white/cream to gris de chine. I don’t know if it has to do with complexion type (warm vs cool) but I dread anything with gris de chine base. I can handle oatmeal better when paired with complementary brown neutral, but white/cream is so much more refreshing - especially when next to the face.

Still no 🦄 on the EU sites but I did manage to finally order the Dressage Tressage in cw 03. It is beautiful of course but alas, it does not make my heart sing… I wish it was a lot brighter….

Here are some mod shots, I think @SilkCouture wanted to see this cw…

I love how my 2 daughters are hidden behind the shawl in the last pic

The colours are very well suited to your colouring, but yeah, something about the design is a bit off when tied.

Very helpful collage @SilkCouture! Thank you.

I’m currently at the store and stumbled upon this. I’m convinced the blue is definitely my colorway, but seeing the green that everyone’s been talking about is giving me a serious case of FOMO.

Well I think you can wear anything so get whichever makes your heart sing. Seeing the blue on this tangerine jacket maybe is throwing me off. It is a very very "cool" colorway. Personally, I favor the green as it shows the gradations in color so beautifully but I am biased as I have it and love it!!! Let us know which (or both :graucho: ) you take home @SilkCouture.
