Happy online shopping

I was interviewed by Hermès years ago regarding use of their website. They told me that the US market for online sales is enormous, way above any other country, which accounts for why other sites seemingly have more products for sale than we do.

They don't like certain bag styles. Also, they won't use a red/pink wallet as it's bad luck so you can find lots of those.

Good to know, thank you @audreylita and @BlancheVertDeau

That's really cool that they interviewed you. Can you give some examples of what they asked you?
They were in my computer (can’t remember what you call it) with me watching how I navigated their site. They asked me specific questions to look for certain things and wanted to see how I maneuvered. I was a huge online customer at the time which is why they asked to do this. We were on the phone for hours. They rewarded me with a nice gift.

A lot of very wealthy Americans live quite far away from their closest Hermes retail store, so it makes sense.

Thanks, so interesting!

Is there any limit to the number of bags you buy online from hermes? I've been able to successful get some into my cart and buy!
In Australia it appears to be 3 bags per 6 months. Unsure whether returned items count here. If you order more than the limit you will probably get a "stock issue" explanation if you ask and the order will be auto-cancelled within a few hours of order placement. Don't bother opening another account if the ship to address is the same (they may have auto cancellation rules configured on other data point as well...).

Hello! If I have bought something from H.com on the US website, can the SA from another country see that purchase? I would just like to check to see my chances of being offered a bag at a boutique in another country. Thanks!!

I thought I'd post my experience because it sounds similar to many other members.

I paid for an order last month through Hermes Canada website, only to be notified by email 10 min later that my order was cancelled. My credit card was charged with the purchase, and then quickly refunded. I thought maybe I was just too slow with the process and didn't think anything of it.
This process occurred again recently, where I purchased another bag, only to be notified minutes later that it was once again cancelled and my credit card was once again refunded.

These experiences led me to this thread - I was surprised to see so many people have had difficulties with online shopping with Hermes. I had no idea. I decided to call customer service and a nice women explained that there was nothing wrong with my account, but, "This bag is no longer available." She repeated that line on more than one occasion during our brief phone call. She encouraged me to continue to shop online, however.

Anyways, that's what I went through. I wouldn't call it too negative because funds were quickly refunded and customer service was quick to answer my questions. But moving forward, I think I'll reserve my Hermes shopping to in-store only.

No hate here - Hermes is still one of my favourites. It's just unfortunate they seem to struggle with their online experience.

Has anyone noticed the the Chypre tab disappeared from Hermes.com UK? I was trying to get a shearling pair for autumn but all I get is 404 error. Does this meant they’re gone for the season now? Or just out of stock?
