Hello All,
I am new to the Hermes world and wanted to start my collection now. Thanks to everyone for the advice and tips- they are very helpful! I was very lucky to be able to score a herbag 31 last week- I was stalking the website for months… I was able to purchase the bag using Apple Pay, it’s a lot faster!

I finally got my package today and it required a signature. It came with a one page receipt. However, the bag came in the orange box but was placed inside a brown box(outside box with the shipping label). I thought the orange box was placed inside a white box? Also, it was taped all around but one of the sides tape was cut… I was wondering if anyone had the same issues? Is it normal for them not to ship the orange box inside the white box? Also, the ribbon read “Hermes 2022”do they change their ribbons each year? I was just worried that it was opened during transit or something…

Hope everyone can score a bag, it’s always so hard!!!

the orange box is probably too big for their usual white box with Hermes cartoon-like logo. I never ordered bags online, check thoroughly and see if there’s any damage.

Ahh okay, that makes sense! No damage to the bag- everything looks perfect. However, it is my first Hermes handbag and there’s limited reviews on the herbag. If anyone know any good blogs or YouTube videos for me to read up on that would be helpful!

Also,Does anyone know how to read the date code?

I think it depends on what you purchased.
When I bought a shirt or a scarf, the orange box was inside a white box which was then over wrapped with a plastic material along with it affixed a shipping label to me.
Now for bulkier packages such as my bag order, the orange box was inside wrapped with a white and brown protective packaging material, inside the brown box which was sealed with tape pretty much on all crevice.
I don’t think they have white boxes the size of bags aside from the mini Evelyne I received.

Thanks for letting me know! I ordered the herbag 31 and the orange box was inside wrapped with white protective packaging material as well. However, the brown box outside was all sealed with tape expect for one of the top side- it looked like it was cut (all other corners were sealed). So I was just curious as to what may have happened during transit and worried that it may have been opened. Not sure if anyone had issues with damaged packages during shipment.

So did anyone on tpf successfully checked out a picotin from this morning's mega drop? :nuts:

I am waiting on shipping but I’m super excited bc I THINK I got an 18, in rose Mexico/rose extreme (w RdC interior.) I loved the bi color Kelly and will never be VIP enough for an item like that in the boutique and I wanted a picotin as well so I squealed and prayed and clicked purchase lol.

Yeeeeek!!! Congratulations :nuts::nuts::nuts: That is so exciting and encouraging for us that someone actually scored a picotin! The shipping usually takes about a day or two to be pushed through, please enjoy it in good health :drinks:

After years of trying to get a marble silk, last week I finally managed to get one online. Two days ago, I was waiting for FedEx at home when I checked the online tracking status and noticed that it was marked as “delivered” and signed by “JJJJJJJJJJJJJJ”. Needless to say, nobody rang my doorbell, package not to be found anywhere, checked with neighbors nobody seen my package, nothing left at the management office etc. I called immediately FedEx and they told me that they opened a case. I called Hermes too which did the same. Today I checked with FedEx and they told me the case is closed, so I understand that they couldn’t identify where my package was, and now the shipper (Hermes) should open an investigation. Did it ever happen to you? What should I expect?

Same happened once with Chanel beauty products. I had to open a case and Chanel opened an investigation case on their end. After a week or so, Chanel informed me that a replacement will be shipped. Make sure you follow up and the incident with status is noted in your account. Good luck.

Does anyone ever have issues with their Herbag 31 when ordering online? One of the stitching looks off on the bottom of the bag- circled in red, not sure if I should return it… Sigh.. suggestions?

I see it but don't think it's bad enough to consider it a flaw? It's made of canvas after all so minor snag and loose stitch are to be expected. If it bothers you then bring it in the boutique to see if they can arrange a exchange/replacement for you. Herbag isn't hard to get imo.
