Happy online shopping

H.com strikes again. A supposedly brand new CDC arrived with all the plastic removed already. What happened to inspecting items?????

I know better than to return it and try to get a refund on the shipping from CS. Just going to take it back to a store for credit. Shameful that I am out $35 in shipping for a LUXURY product that should never have left the warehouse in the first place.

Ask the boutique to refund your shipping as well. If they sent you a not new item then it's their problem and not yours and you should not have to eat the shipping charge.

This happened to me several years ago. I purchased one of the horn necklaces that not only didn't have plastic but was so scratched and gouged that it looked like it had belonged to someone for years. I brought it back to a boutique and they were mortified at what they saw. I got a full refund, including the shipping cost.

Finger crossed for you that it arrives tomorrow, rainne. :okay:

And YES! Of COURSE! ABSO-bleeping-LUTELY you should do a reveal! If it's by Hermes, it by definition isn't a "small" item. Let us know when & where you're posting… I'll be there with bells on! :smile1:

It's 1/2 way across the country right now! :D Thanks, Elaine, I think I will do a tiny reveal :hugs:

Thanks audreylita, I am going to give CS a call today and see what happens. If not I will try the boutique tomorrow.

I once returned a GHW CDC that was listed as PHW. H.com used the wrong picture but ref # was correct. I fought for 3 days to get a refund of the shipping costs. I wouldn't have bought the item if I knew it was GHW so why should I pay for shipping? Apparently we are expected to know all the ref number codes too. Deplorable.

I am appalled. I will never order from H.com again. Called CS to return the CDC that was sent without plastic on the hardware and they refused to refund the shipping as they claim the item was sent in perfect condition, and that the warehouse may have removed the plastic to inspect it, and they claimed many CDC's in the boutique are missing the plastic. Every CDC I have ever bought at the boutique has had the plastic on. In fact, the boxes at the boutique are still sealed in its original shrink wrap since my SA grabs them as soon the shipment comes in.

I am going to the boutique tomorrow and let my SA and SM deal with this. For a luxury brand, I am so disgusted. :censor:

Rant over.

Was the bracelet damaged ?

My bracelet arrived, it's perfect. I am so happy with it...and relieved.

Sickgrl, mine didn't have any plastic on it either, I'm not sure if it is supposed to though as it is a different style. Their website does have definite issues.

I have in fact purchased CDC's from the boutique with the plastic removed and that was my choice and the bracelets were fine. Don't know why it was off but most of the CDC's I've purchased do have the plastic on and that's how they come and how I really expect to buy them.

I have ordered many many CDC's from the H.com website and they all had the plastic on. They say the warehouse removed the plastic to inspect it? Seriously, give me a break.

I have to say that (IME) the EU CS for h.com is leagues better than the US. And if you need to make a return or exchange it's incredibly prompt (whereas the US site takes forever to process). The EU even refunded my shipping charges! I'm not entirely sure that was supposed to happen but it did, every time.

I've noticed that lately I can't get my fedex packages re routed to a hold location whereas in the past (about 2 years ago) they would leave it at a Fedex/Kinko's free of charge. I can't even pay to have them do that - it's not an option in my online account when I track the delivery. Does anyone out there see that option for their packages?

Unfortunately, I don't believe it is an option any longer. I have even called Fedex for re-routing of my h.com packages and they were unable to do so.

The plot thickens, as does my annoyance with H.com. Went to the boutique today to return the CDC and they refused to take back the bracelet, saying it should never have been sold without the plastic and the can't take it because they in turn can't sell it without the plastic. In fact, while I was in the checkout line, a girl came in and wanted to return an XL Clic Clac and because the plastic had been removed, they wouldn't take it back either.

I do it all the time in SF. Sometimes I do it online, sometimes I call and have them deliver to a FedEx/Kinkos near me. Maybe give them a call?

That's ridiculous. I've purchased CDC's from the Madison Ave boutique without the plastic.
