I need some sizing help, Unfortunately I do not live near a store to be able to try in person. Do you guys think these are too big? I've heard all of the comments about sizing up but since I typically have to size down for sandals and heels, I got my normal shoe size (38). They are definitely not to small but possibly too big? They look and feel fine when I try them on, however when I walk in them, I feel like my toes slide back, enough that the ridge that is supposed to be under the toe is kind of on the middle of it. My toes also start gripping a bit as if they're trying to keep from sliding out. I haven't slid out of them but it just feels like I might, but I also have been walking kind of "delicately" around the room in them so they don't get messed up and I can return them. Does it look like I need a half size down? My foot is kind of wide and thick, so I don't know if a size down is more of a length or width change. Also, you can see that my foot totally fills up were the H is, so there's no gap so I don't understand why they are "slipping" (yes I tighted the strap). The H is not tight, I don't feel any pressure from it on my foot but I don't think I could go too much smaller either. Or maybe these are just not the shoes for me... maybe the extra sandal?

Another question, in case I do decide to try a half size down, how is the leather creasing in the Epsom leather? The black calfskin is nice but it is already creasing just from trying on and taking a few steps around the room. I am wondering it the Epsom shows creasing a bit less, does anyone have any photos of "broken in" Epsom Chypre?

Apologies for the toenails, I promise I'm getting pedi this weekend! Haha!

Definitely not too big. A half size down would be way too small

Hi all, I have a pair of Chypre in black calfskin.
I’ve been hunting Beige Esquisse for a while and finally saw them on the website in my size.
I got the same size as my black but I heard a few say the sizing has changed a little and now I’m worried. Has anyone got a pair of Chypre from 2022 and a pair from 2024 noticed any change in sizing?

I find it fascinating that there’s so much variation in peoples sizing compared to other H shoes. For example I am TTS 36.5 (my Chypre size) but 37 in Oran. My Chypre are literally the most comfortable shoes I own but the Oran are horribly painful across the front of my foot. I think I have short length foot but wide! Kinda short and fat lol

I’m worried about change in sizing as a couple years ago I was 36 in Santorini but bought a pair earlier this year and they fit completely different - very tight!

I have a pair from 2022 and 2024. I heard about the changes as well, but got the same size for both and they fit me well. I didn't notice a difference in sizing.

hi all! need your help/advice! I got the Chypre sandals in 38.5 (my regular size is 38). Not sure if they are still a bit too small? I tried a bit of walking at home and it felt ok, but I dont know how it will be with actual long walking + potential sweating of feet

Was almost a miracle to snatch these online, not sure if 39 will be in stock in this colour... On the other hand, it's an expensive pair of shoes to settle for something that is not absolutely perfect. Please let me know what you think!!! And sorry for the messy background
What color does that look like in person? A grey or a beige? Thanks!

Yeah I’ve had 0 issues with comfort in my calf chypre - comfortable right out of the box. I tried on my normal size and they were a bit tight so I went up a half size and no issues. I think people who have issues went too small
Same. My chypres were literally so comfortable right away. No need to break in. I didn’t size up and took what I believe to be my TTS of 36.5.

Oran which I took in 37 are incredibly uncomfortable.

Practically live in my Chypres in summer, as my feet have a tendency to swell in heat. I find Chypre are wide enough to accommodate.

I just received my Chypre in Beige Esquisse. Comparing these with my black pair from 2022, I do think the beige are a tiny bit more snug fitting. The length is fine but I did feel like width wise they felt tighter - not uncomfortably so though. I think 0.5 up would still fit whereas with the black 0.5 was too big and lose when I tried them on in 2022.
