I haven't purchased this type, but did try on the brown ones at the boutique. I noticed the edges of the H strap part looked a little bald(able to slightly see the foundational material underneath), but maybe that was a defective pair since they were new..?
Thanks for the info. I will definitely look out for that if I am able to get my hands on a pair.

Saw a new brownish two tone suede color combo. I think the orangy two tone is also new?
the colors are so pretty.

Will you wear them with any color tops?

if I buy these sandals I want to get a pop of fun color, not black, white or brown.

i seldom wear orange shade tops.

those that owns this style sandal, do you wear your tops to match your sandals color
Or any color top go with sandal?

Do your toes touch the edge that rises up, or stay clear of it? Sorry if we are veering off topic! I’m not sure if it’s normal and if it will start to hurt if I walk longer distances
Moving this to Chypre thread :).

So for my regular size, my toes definitely touching the top lips.. almost curl up a tiny bit
Half size up, my toes stop right before the edge.
Full size up, my toes stay clear of the edge but they were overall too big and not comfortable to walk in. Hope this helps.

Hi All! Long time lurker, first time poster. Greatly appreciate everyone's guidance on this forum

Bought 37 chypre in black calfskin 2 weeks ago and received it last week. I have narrow feet & normally 6.5/36.5, but can wear 6/36 or 7/37 based on the shoe. My feet are too narrow to wear Orans (SA wouldn't even let me purchase, saying I will lose them just like her 😂).

They fit well (barely touching the ridges), but people seem to wear it a little bigger than how my feet look in pics. Almost 85% sure a 37.5 might be too wide and loose, but a smidge more length would be nice for end of day foot swelling. Should I try a 37.5 (still exhausted from site stalking..)? TIA!!
They look perfect to me. I don’t think you should buy 1/2 size up.

Thank you @nat74 for the feedback!
My SA agrees as well. Was SO excited to finally bust these babies out the next day!

Tip: Learned Extra sandals have the exact same rubber sole (I checked with my 37 Chypre). If Chypres aren't available in store, try Extra sizes to test the length.

I tried 37.5 Extras and all of my toes didn't touch the ridge, but it was loose. SA said Chypre will stretch a little, so 37.5 will probably be too loose. Also, she said my heel/toes are still not quite touching the inner ridge, so 37 it is!

I watched all the YT videos I could find, and those with narrow feet in a similar situation say the 1/2 size up makes them grip their toes/too loose & end up preferring their TTS.

Hope this helps others as well.

I have narrow feet too so my problem is the length is fine but the width is not. I also wear size 37 but I found that the suede one is too loose for me. The black 37 calfskin fits like a glove but the suede purple navy hurt my feet if I walk too long bcuz I try to grip my toes like you said. I wore them to Hawaii in August and my feet hurt like hell lol. Should have taken the black one instead.

Shucks. I also have a suede pink one that I haven't worn yet, and I can definitely feel it looser in its new state! Same 37 size. If they get too loose, I'm going to try moleskin underneath all the straps to add more bulk & see if that helps. Also, maybe you can try a thin insole sticker to add some volume?

Yep I was thinking about putting foot cushions too. Waiting for the spring weather so I can wear them again. I LOVE LOVE Chypres so much I literally live in the black ones everyday except winter. :yucky:

Is a size US size 6 a size France Hermes size 36 or 39?

Different color France size chypre sandals don't show the same Hermes size for US size 6.
