I would love input please!!!

I finally got to try on a pair of Chypre in store in 36.5, my usual size in Paris loafer and Oran sandals. I was hoping to be able to try on 37, but of course, with Chypre, that wasn’t an option.

In the store, with excitement and a pair of thin slippery socks, I thought 36.5 (kinda) worked. But I tried them on at home today and now I am not sure if I should go up half a size.
My feet are inside the lip (except for one of my toes when I push my feet in). But a part of my heel viewed from the top seems to stick out, even though the sole of the feet are inside the shoe lips. I did also have to loosen the straps. As it stands, I can’t really wear thick socks

Should I ask to exchange for a 37? (I am also slightly concerned about blemishing SA relationships for asking an exchange.)View attachment 5900152View attachment 5900151
Sorry for the runner and unpainted toes.
I have a few pairs of Chypres and really love them. I wear them everywhere and find them comfortable as long as the size is perfect. My advice is to upsize by half a size as you were thinking. Apart from the fit within the sandals, the straps and edges just might cause blisters in the wrong size. My feet are small and kinda flat so this isn't as much a problem in these and Orans etc. Good luck!

I was offered a pair of Chypre sandals, but I don't love the color. I like it certainly and I wouldn't mind wearing them but since Chypre are so hard to get a hold of, not sure if I should take it since I don't know when I might get another pair, or if taking this pair will delay an offer in a color I would prefer more. What should I do?

Don't take it if you don't like the colour... you won't wear them.
I just went to try the sunset ones, thought I would love but did not. There is a moment when you think "wait, they are hard to get, shall I?" but nope. I would not have worn them.

If I learn one thing from this forum, it is only take home what makes your heart moves.

Hi thank you for the advice. The chypre sandals would be in the color black which is very wearable but I was really hoping either for a light colored neutral orrrrr a bright pop of color. How long do you guys think I would have to wait before another color might come my way?

Side note the US website has a restock of a bunch of different colors but unfortunately my size is gone but maybe someone else will find the pair they want!

Love the chypre sandals. Question, are they comfortable? I was thinking of getting, then decided against them. Now (6 months later) I re-want them, but might actually ask my SA soon loll
These are not as comfy as my other shearling pairs because the leather is kind of stiffness. However I get used to them now after breaking it around the house for a week.

Hi All! Long time lurker, first time poster. Greatly appreciate everyone's guidance on this forum

Bought 37 chypre in black calfskin 2 weeks ago and received it last week. I have narrow feet & normally 6.5/36.5, but can wear 6/36 or 7/37 based on the shoe. My feet are too narrow to wear Orans (SA wouldn't even let me purchase, saying I will lose them just like her 😂).

They fit well (barely touching the ridges), but people seem to wear it a little bigger than how my feet look in pics. Almost 85% sure a 37.5 might be too wide and loose, but a smidge more length would be nice for end of day foot swelling. Should I try a 37.5 (still exhausted from site stalking..)? TIA!!

Does anyone know how the shearling chypre sandals hold up over time?
Does the shearling get super matted or discoloured?
Any pics would be great! Thanks!
I haven't purchased this type, but did try on the brown ones at the boutique. I noticed the edges of the H strap part looked a little bald(able to slightly see the foundational material underneath), but maybe that was a defective pair since they were new..?
