Can’t rave about these shoes enough. I was reluctant to jump on the bandwagon because they are ‘trendy.’ However, glad to have given them a chance. Never had to ‘wear them in’ like other H shoes (Orans or mules w/ blisters etc.) They can be dressed up
or worn casual. Purchased mine in Sept and have been wearing them non-stop

They are after you break them in. When I first started wearing them, I made the mistake of wearing them for more than 8 hours straight on 2 consecutive days. On the 3rd day, I started having some chafing. But nothing a pair of thick socks couldn’t fix.
Super agree. Also the socks with chypres is life changing lol. I accidentally discovered it when I was rushing out of the house and had no time to wear my boots (so i had to quickly slip on to these and then just carried my shoes to the car). I was like yeah ok.. 🤣 now im like a dad in costco when i get the chance lol especially since it’s still fall

Speaking of which, do you guys think we’d have more chypre stocks/sizes since it’s getting close to winter? Or would H just push the inventory to warmer states (like Miami and the three boutiques in Hawaii) and keep the east coast status quo?

So ready for my Summer Holidays in Winter! Suede, Rose Porcelaine… and here’s a photo next to Beige Mastic in case you’re wondering
oooh thanks so much for sharing! i have the beige mastic and was wondering if i should get the rose porcelaine of if they were too similar!
what do you think? is color of the rose porcelaine IRL true to the pic?

Would you mind wearing the beige mastic and rose porcelain on each foot too if you don't mind so that I can see the color difference on skin please? Thank you.

Similar that they are both light neutrals, yes, but different in that Pink Porcelaine is in suede while Beige Mastic is not. I suggest seeing them both IRL, and deciding for yourself whether they are similar or different enough for you, and whether one (or both) works better for your skin tone, wardrobe or lifestyle…. HTH

I would love input please!!!

I finally got to try on a pair of Chypre in store in 36.5, my usual size in Paris loafer and Oran sandals. I was hoping to be able to try on 37, but of course, with Chypre, that wasn’t an option.

In the store, with excitement and a pair of thin slippery socks, I thought 36.5 (kinda) worked. But I tried them on at home today and now I am not sure if I should go up half a size.
My feet are inside the lip (except for one of my toes when I push my feet in). But a part of my heel viewed from the top seems to stick out, even though the sole of the feet are inside the shoe lips. I did also have to loosen the straps. As it stands, I can’t really wear thick socks :(

Should I ask to exchange for a 37? (I am also slightly concerned about blemishing SA relationships for asking an exchange.)IMG_9594.jpegIMG_9595.jpeg
Sorry for the runner and unpainted toes.

I think it looks fine, but it would personally bug me to feel the lip of the edge or to worry about the heel hanging off. So I would go up half a size. JMO though.

I would suggest sizing up. I was in a similar situation… size 37 in loafers.. tried 37 in Chypre and they were just snug… without much room… glad I sized up… made room for swelling after walking for a few hours in them during hot summer days….

These are pricey sandals to have to compromise on comfort (toe touching lip could be irritating), and would recommend waiting for the right size to come along… These are now part of the regular collection, it seems, and I am now seeing more colours / sizes become available.

As for your relationship with your SA, I’d like to believe your SA would prefer that you have a positive (and not painful) experience with your purchases.

Good luck!
