Hermès CHYPRE sandals

I just bought my first pair of Chypre in black leather in person (definitely an interesting experience to say the least). I just noticed slight creasing in the leather. I’ve worn them for maybe 5-10 minutes in my house, so I’m wondering if this is normal or if maybe I was given a retuned/used pair at the store? I didn’t really look closely at them until today… There was also no sticker at the bottom of the sandal and no card in the box. Wanted to know if that’s normal. Thanks!

I’ve combed through this thread, but thought I’d still ask - has anyone gone up 1.5 sizes?

I am normally a size 36.5, and all my shoes are 36.5 from Hermes (save Santorini). I tried size 38 Chypre before and it didn’t feel too too big?! Though I did have to fasten the Velcro.

Hoping for some advice from the experts! I finally got a black leather pair in 39 that I had been trying to find for over a year. Repeatedly checking in with my SA but just never getting any traction. I would stalk the website daily with no luck (but did score a black swift Jige 29 clutch and a 24/24 21 in etoupe) so not a total loss! I caved and bought through a personal shopper. Paid a premium but did so because the 38.5 I found was SO comfortable, but just too short.

Here’s my question. I have wide feet and they are perfect in length but feel a bit too wide - not totally falling off my feet when walking, but enough that I’m aware of how wide they are.

Yes, I’ve tightened the velcro as much as possible to no avail. I’m devastated as the 38.5 were too short (I’m a 39 in the Oran and 38.5 in Hermes sneakers). Does anyone have a suggestion on how to make them tighter? Stupid question, I know. I may just be out of luck and have to sell them as Hermes are “not returnable” with many personal shoppers including the one I purchased from.

Thanks in advance!IMG_4974.jpegIMG_4975.jpegIMG_4977.jpeg

I have not been able to get chypres in the right size yet. But I have your issue with orans and oasis sandals.
I tried a million inserts before going to my local cobbler. He took a look. He proceeded to take in the straps 1/4 inch on each side. Whihc I find baffling bc I don’t have narrow feet. You might want to have your local cobbler take a look at how yours fit your foot and make a recommendation. Hope it works out for you.

Great idea! Thanks so much. I love them and don’t want to give up.

I found some of the Beige Argil sandals on Vestaire but they're printed with 37 1/2 on the underside of the strap when all the other ones have seen say 375. Is the one on Vestaire fake or are there some printed with the "1/2" mark?

I just want to share how Hermes’ Chypre sandals sizing are sometimes weird.

The vert jade is 37.5 (Aug purchase) while the blanc is 37 (Sep purchase)

They’re exactly the same!

Mine are 38 and 39 and they’re the same length, 39 is just slightly wider (I posted the picture a few pages ago). I wish they kept the original “small fit” sizing so I know I need to size up. Nowadays it’s just a lottery what size you’re getting :whut:

Does anyone else take a half size down in the fuzzy ones from the regular ones? I cannot decide if my feet are weird or the chypres are weird. I still cannot get the ones I want in my size.

Boots 37.5
Fuzzy chypres: 37.5
Reg chypres: 38
Orans: 38 (I like more length, but they become comically wide, so my local cobbler takes them in,
Up to a quarter inch per side )
I’m basically a 37 in Birkenstocks, but it can vary a bit with designer collaboration ones
