What should the “ideal length” be? I mean I just got my 40.5 and they fit the length of my foot exactly meaning from tip to tip there’s no room left at the back for movement

I’m thinking I need just a half size up but wanted to get some advice

It’s comfortable I’m just not sure if I should have extra room in the back
I feel like everyone will have a different answer, but, since I got the chance to compare with two sizes, the size that was just just on my foot, I walked around with them and closed my eyes and since its an open foot shoe, the sandal moves around a little and my heel would land slightly on the rim sometimes. So 0.5 bigger was definitely better.
But I understand these are so hard to get. So if you dont want to wait and search for the right size u totally could settle and keep those. I feel like alot of people do, when I look on insta and zoom, it feels like everyone is wearing a size too small and still works lol. So up to you. In my case 1K was too much not to have a perfect fit so I decided to be patient.

You do realize that the 0.5 does not increase the length of any shoes from Hermes right? The 0.5 in any shoe is simply to add more width. Check out the size guide on H.com. For Chypre you definitely need to size up one FULL size. I wear 42, I had to size up to 43.5. Your heel should never sit on the rim, you need that little room between the rim and your heel. I opted for 43.5 vs. 43 just for comfort for the width.

Good to know. Thanks for sharing! No wonder when I bought the Orans size 37 in Hawaii the length was perfectly ok. But then when I tried to walk at home the strap was too big and my feet kept slipping off. I felt so sad and thought that Orans weren’t for me then! And then last week I went to my home boutique I tried on the Oz mules size 37 same thing happened. So my SA told me to try on 1 size or 1/2 size smaller and then voilà size 36 fit perfectly and my feet didn’t slip off! I also tried on the Orans again and it worked in size 36.5 too! Now I realized that Oz mules is size 36 or 36.5, Orans is 36.5 and Chypre is 37. :P

Yup I know, I had saw that on the charts. Just sharing what worked for me. And yes I took the biggest size with the extra space front and back. In my case I only sized up from 39.5 in orans to a 40 in chypre. Im surprised that for you it was a way bigger jump than me.

Which color/leather were yours?

I just snagged the orange fluffy ones from the website! I missed my alarm this time and was 24 min late (not kidding I refresh the website 3x per day when they do their drops) but finally snagged a pair. The only problem is I usually wear a 39 and the ones left were 38.5 and you all are saying size up. But I did try the mens fluffy ones size 40 and they were huge on me so, I am crossing my fingers that these somehow fit.

Thanks for sharing! Sounds like I will be a 7 in chypre also. I’m a 36.5 in Oran’s!

I do see what you're saying on the size chart. I am not sure this applies to or is accurate for chypre because i measured my chypre 39.5 against the oran 39 and the length was different. According to the size chart, should be the same....

Hi all! I was able to try the "Ugg" Shearling Chypres in store and a size 37 was perfect. I tried on the shearling Orans and had to size up to a 38. I still want the leather Chypres. For those of you who have tried both, are there any price discrepancy between them? My feet are pretty standard in terms of width as well.

Has anyone gotten their normal size and it fit fine? I managed to place an order today for the black leather one, but in my exact size. Going to be gutted if they don’t fit
