Well done! What sort of label maker did you use? (I attempted the same project with stickies--they all fell off, of course.)I finished a project of labelling my scarves. I had to put a few on another shelf along with my CGSMs.
(And I see that there's lots of advice regarding Fashionphile on other threads--reading through it now. Sorry about that.)Hello, I just bought from Fashionphile a Garden Party 36 in Vache Country Rouge Duchesse. I'm wondering how versatile others have found the color. On my screen, the red seemed like a true red--not blueish, not orangey, just red. But IRL, it's a kind of fascinating pinkish/orangey/brownish/rusty (back to pinkish) red. I think I love it, but it's not really a bright, neutral color (or maybe it is?), which is what I think I was after. If you have a bag in Rouge Duchesse, what do you wear it with? Is it a bag for all seasons? I live in the Boston area, so we have all four, and a few more.
I'd also love comments on the leather, which is new to me. I have other bags in Togo, Box, and Clemence, all in neutral or dark colors: black, gold, etoupe, chocolate, black, black, black . . .
Another question: I was planning to have the bag authenticated by Bababebi--as I did with a Jypsiere I bought on the Real Real: very reassuring--but I see that Fashionphile has a lifetime authenticity guarantee, which I take to mean that if I bring this bag to the Hermes spa at some point after the 15-day return period, and Hermes determines it's a fake, Fashionphile will refund the purchase price. Does anyone have any experience with this guarantee? Should I trust Fashionphile?
I'll be grateful for all comments & advice.
I used the Brother P-touch label maker with the clear labels. I had to centre a few and the labels didn’t do any damage to the boxes coming off but so far so good. Some of them I did a few months ago and they’ve been holding.Well done! What sort of label maker did you use? (I attempted the same project with stickies--they all fell off, of course.)
I think someone recently posted about a silk scarf that she discovered was a fake a long time after purchase. Fashionphile honored the claim but I dont recall details. IMO, as a buyer, fashionphile is a safer choice than TRR re bags(And I see that there's lots of advice regarding Fashionphile on other threads--reading through it now. Sorry about that.)

authenticated now before I'd take it to H for a spa at a later date, JMO
This is great to know--about the silk scarf buyer and about TRR and Fashionphile more generally. Thanks for taking the time to post. (I'll be sending Bababebi those photos today.)I think someone recently posted about a silk scarf that she discovered was a fake a long time after purchase. This is the brilliance of Hermes.. who else could market 15k headphones & receive all this attention
Clearly, whoever thought wrapping the latest tech in leather and charging $15k for it does not have kids. Even a mega wealthy person will not buy this for him/herself. This will be at Christie’s or Sotheby’s after a proud parent buys this as a graduation gift and the kid just wants the cash.
I think you’re so right and I hate returns as well. I had no idea it was a special combo as I’ve never seen a BHW bag before!IMO brushed PHW is much nicer and more special than shiny. And previously the mark of an SO. But you have to be happy![]()
I think that combo is so cool and a total head turner. Plus, you won’t see scratches as easily like polished. Save a polished phw for another bag. Keep this baby and enjoy!Thoughts on a B25 Noir with brushed palladium hardware?
I’ve had a B25 with PHW on my wishlist for a while now and was just offered this combo yesterday. However, it was brushed, not shiny hardware. I shop at a competitive store and was nervous to say no - (mostly because I liked the bag and it was very similar to exactly what i wanted, and I was worried I would lose the opportunity to be offered this combo again in the future — b25 Noir/PHW - my #1 bag on wishlist).
I wasn’t sure what to do so I took it and now I’m having second thoughts. Should I have passed and waited for the shiny hardware? And most importantly, should I message my SA tomorrow and express my thoughts? If I were to bring the bag back for credit, will that destroy my relationship with her and the store? Don’t get me wrong - I like this combo, but it’s not the “perfect” combo I hoped for and I’m super picky! Ah!
What would you do? Love the bag and be grateful and move on? Or take a risk and say something to the SA in hopes to bring it back in? Am I crazy, haha?
