The very first time I walked into my local boutique, I was offered an Evelyne in a light blue with PHW. I explained to the SA (who became my SA), that I hated PHW and would only like a bag with GHW. My first Birkin from that SA was Gold GHW but then, in Paris, I bought an orange K28 PHW and I found I liked its edginess.

Now I have two Birkins with PHW and I love them...different vibes. BUT as many have noted @dgreen101 it is your bag and you have to love it. I'd offer to take it off your hands (a black H bag is high on my wishlist) but then your SA might wonder why you don't carry it.

Good luck with whatever you decide 🍀🍀🍀

I LOVE your orange k with PHW.

Gorgeous! So classy. The brushed hw really sets it apart from the typical look that noir Birkins have. I’ve so far declined all bag offers in noir because they were boring to me - but now I think if I were offered one w brushed hw, I’d take it.
Thank you so much! So reassuring to hear as I was going back and forth all day yesterday, unsure if I made the right decision!

What a surprise to read this. You wear PHW so well, I would never have guessed!!
I especially love how you wear your bags with H jewelry. So chic!

I've finally realized that mixing metals is acceptable and kind of fun...not yet ready to wear black and navy at the same time however! 😱

We will lure you over to the dark side eventually ;)
Yup. All. The. Time. Honestly, it doesn’t look at all odd to my eye and I’m always surprised when it’s referred to as a risky combo.

ETA I think of colors without judgment, by that I mean there aren’t any correct or incorrect combinations, just what’s pleasing to the eye. I am told that traditionally, corporate New Englanders favored brown with navy, the Houston crowd wore black with navy, and there was a lot of head shaking at deal meetings. I wasn’t in the room (!) so I can’t confirm.

When I was growing up in England, there was a rhyme about how 'blue and green should never be seen except with something in between' and yet I love blue and green, specifically navy and bright greens like vert comics (wonder why?). And a friend tells me that sophisticated Parisian women love black and navy together and yet...

I'm a fan of black with navy & Chanel used this combo when Karl was in charge quite often
& glad that I have kept that combo over time now..
Don't know how true it is but rumors had it that Texas loved "pink" especially the gals in Dallas
going back years ago, not meant to be offensive as it is just fashion talk

For those who have been shopping at Hermès for over 10 years, how often do these “special edition” items circulate into production or the stores? I have not been able to buy them, and they have been on my wishlist for a few years now. I am thinking of removing them from my wishlist folder. However, I see them on the resale market. I am loyal to my sales specialist, so I don’t think I’m ready for the resale market. I recently bought a twilly with leather fringes. My sales specialist shared that she rarely sees them circulate. Thank you so much for your help!IMG_4698.webpIMG_4886.webpIMG_4943.webp
