The very first time I walked into my local boutique, I was offered an Evelyne in a light blue with PHW. I explained to the SA (who became my SA), that I hated PHW and would only like a bag with GHW. My first Birkin from that SA was Gold GHW but then, in Paris, I bought an orange K28 PHW and I found I liked its edginess.
Now I have two Birkins with PHW and I love them...different vibes. BUT as many have noted @dgreen101 it is your bag and you have to love it. I'd offer to take it off your hands (a black H bag is high on my wishlist) but then your SA might wonder why you don't carry it.
Good luck with whatever you decide 🍀🍀🍀
Gorgeous! So classy. The brushed hw really sets it apart from the typical look that noir Birkins have. I’ve so far declined all bag offers in noir because they were boring to me - but now I think if I were offered one w brushed hw, I’d take it.sure thing- see below

I've finally realized that mixing metals is acceptable and kind of fun...not yet ready to wear black and navy at the same time however! 😱What a surprise to read this. You wear PHW so well, I would never have guessed!!
I especially love how you wear your bags with H jewelry. So chic!

Yup. All. The. Time. Honestly, it doesn’t look at all odd to my eye and I’m always surprised when it’s referred to as a risky combo. We will lure you over to the dark side eventually![]()
When I was growing up in England, there was a rhyme about how 'blue and green should never be seen except with something in between' and yet I love blue and green, specifically navy and bright greens like vert comics (wonder why?Yup. ETA I think of colors without judgment, by that I mean there aren’t any correct or incorrect combinations, just what’s pleasing to the eye. I am told that traditionally, corporate New Englanders favored brown with navy, the Houston crowd wore black with navy, and there was a lot of head shaking at deal meetings. I wasn’t in the room (!) so I can’t confirm.
@880 has set the hook, we’ll reel you in slowly 😂When I was growing up in England, there was a rhyme about how 'blue and green should never be seen except with something in between' and yet I love blue and green, specifically navy and bright greens like vert comics (wonder why?). I'm a fan of black with navy & Chanel used this combo when Karl was in charge quite oftenWhen I was growing up in England, there was a rhyme about how 'blue and green should never be seen except with something in between' and yet I love blue and green, specifically navy and bright greens like vert comics (wonder why?). Hermes has claimed no interest in it. "We are not a museum." LOLHopefully it was Hermes themselves that bought that bag.
