I thought the numbers were unique to the bag. I believe it was date stamp+artisan code+random numbers?posting here because my post in the H relationship thread was deemed off topic.
I have a number of H bags including QBs so I consider myself beyond the newbie stage (but certainly not an OG or VIP).
Why do some people here talk about a serial number on bags? Isn’t it either the item number or the date+artisan code? I don’t think either of these is a 1:1 identifier to a specific bag? There was some discussion of matching serial numbers on bags with receipts, but I must be misunderstanding something
That's very interesting because historically its been the other way around. Gold tends to have higher resale value as well. It could be that is the trend your SA's are seeing in that particular boutique though. What specs do you actually want though? If you like the gold then I would go for it. If you prefer the PHW then wait and dont settle.Soo I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I got offered a Kelly in noir with GHW, and they told me I have to spend more and wait for longer if I want one with PHW, because noir and PHW is a more sought after combo. Any truth to this?
Distinct unique serial numbers started being added to bags a couple of years ago. They are imprinted into the bags in close proximity to the date code/artisan stamp. Its still a bit hit or miss, especially because H sometimes holds back bags in inventory for years before releasing them so not all newly purchased bags will have them. Though at this point, most bags do. It also seems hit or miss as to whether the serial number is printed on the receipt.posting here because my post in the H relationship thread was deemed off topic.

I have to ask: how exactly was this phrased? ‘You have to spend more’, ‘you have to buy more’ or something else?Soo I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I got offered a Kelly in noir with GHW, and they told me I have to spend more and wait for longer if I want one with PHW, because noir and PHW is a more sought after combo. They're gorgeous - thanks so much!!
An SA in Singapore actually asked that I write one for him, so I did. But, somehow I thought it must be an Asian thing lol. Thanks for the correctionSo my SA told me that corporate actually looks at the online reviews and it affects their annual performance reviews! And he asked me to write one for him!! Which I happily did!
Does anyone know if H will do another price increase mid year?
Do you know if this price increase is across all categories and for all countries? My friends in Korea said the prices of Garden Party (both 30 & 36 sizes; canvas and leather) went up like a week ago. The canvas GP 30 went up approx 23%!!
I'm not sure about other countries but it seems to be just for the garden parties in Korea. They had the start of the year price increases across the board so this recent price increase for garden parties came as a surprise.Do you know if this price increase is across all categories and for all countries?
It was more like, you have to spend thousands more and wait for longer😦I have to ask: how exactly was this phrased? ‘You have to spend more’, ‘you have to buy more’ or something else?![]()
I actually wanted the PHW for a change but wasn't adamant about it, but yes I always thought GHW was more popular tooThat's very interesting because historically its been the other way around. Not sure where you are based but among Chinese consumers (if you look at the RED app) you will realise that Black PHW has been trending for awhile. In parts of Asia, the resale for Black PHW goes for more than GHWI actually wanted the PHW for a change but wasn't adamant about it, but yes I always thought GHW was more popular too
