Well we all know who got bags.
You’re in the fb group too. You’ve seen those getting the bags. Lots of resellers.
Newbie question: do the small on H bags go away after a while? I left one of our newer bags on the couch in my home office and now it's smelling SOOO good in here.
There must be smth wrong with my nose. Everyone keeps talking about the smell……I don’t smell anything….I mean maybe a little bit if I really stick my nose in the bag but not super strong
Funny you should say this because this morning ,I went and sniffed all my Hermes bags and each has a lovely smell to it (except Epsom ) but my other bags be it Chanel or other designers have nothing .
None of my bags really have a scent except Barenia bags, which smell exactly like saddles, and Volynka, which is its own very special aroma 
Good batches of leather definitely have a scent from the tanning process. Recently some not as pleasant as others. I remember my very first brand new Clemence Birkin 30 retained it's scent for a few years. My very recent Gator Roulis smells great as well.
It fades after a while. Smell on the wife’s 6 year old Birkin is very faint.
Leather is porous and starts to absorb the smells of the environment it exists in.
The results are starting to come in from the current Christies auction. As expected, no crazy "bargains", but some lovely B35s went under 7-8K€ which is IMO a great deal. As always with auctions the best prices were for UTR bags like the Massai, for non-exotic B and K35, and for exotics that aren't Bs/Ks. Also larger Lindys!
(Also good to remember that if you take a lot in the EU there's usually 20% VAT on the premium, and if you don't there's shipping and duties on the whole bag...so....)

my Volynka bag still has the smell after almost 2 years of owning it, especially the inside. it's a D stamp so it's around 4 years old
some months ago I took it with me when I had lunch with a friend and he said, "I could smell your bag from here [across the table]".
