hello everyone, i was recently offered a c18 in chevre nata. I have some questions :
1. will it fit a 5'3 slim person cross body style?
2. Does anyhone have feedback on color/leather durability?
3. Also will constance 18 fit my iphone 11 pro?

Btw i am pretty careful with my bags but i have yet to own a WHITE/CREAM bag. I also dont wear jeans much..so any feedback will be appreciated!

Hi , new to hermes and looking to pick up one from reseller .

Need to understand the leather quality especially togo. Are veins in togo leather for Birkin 25 normal ?
I have seen flawless togo leather on birkins , without a trace of veins but this one that the reseller is selling has quite a bit of veins. Does veins mean lower leather quality? It does affect the aesthetics of the bag actually.

I will be paying at higher than retail price USD 19K, should the price be compensating for the more veiny bag?
Please help to advise on leather quality and if i should wait for a bit for a better quality togo leather . I prefer one without veins actually......

Some people love veins some don’t. It has zero reflection on the “quality” of the leather. It does seem that non-veins is the preferred aesthetical option though so at $19k for a B25 I would assume that “discount” is already factored in (assuming it’s a relatively new bag with full set). If you don’t like the veins, obviously don’t buy the bag.

Thanks for sharing. It's a Preloved bag X Stamp, n comes without the clochette, hence slightly compromised price?

$19k for a 2016 B25 without the clochette with significant veining is not a deal, imo. Regardless, if you don’t like the veins, this probably shouldnt even be a discussion. I personally would keep looking.

(this is just for fun, not serious - and maybe y'all will not find it funny in which case I will go back to lurking and apologize for being silly in a serious thread!)

Background is that my friend and I are not in a financial position to buy Hermes/a Birkin but we do like a nice bag here and there (Celine, Chanel, Fendi, etc.) but our husbands are pretty clueless about fashion and don't really participate in our purse-stalking.

At dinner the other night, we girls were trying to explain to one of the husbands that you can't just walk into Hermes and be like, "One Birkin please" and he was astounded. He wondered what would happen if he walked in with a cashier's check for $20k and said, "No, seriously, one Birkin please". We tried to convince him that he would still not get a Birkin (even one that retails for way less than the $ amount on the check). What do y'all think would happen if a (nicely dressed and professional, no mullets in this hypothetical!) man did this? Hilarious answers only! :giggle:

I personally find this hilarious because you just described my DH:biggrin:. Even though my friend's daughter tried to explain to him that he wouldn't be able to just walk into the store and ask for a Birkin, he did it anyway:lol:. He quickly caught on that he would have to purchase a Bolide for me first and many other things before the Birkin. What was supposed to be one 25th Anniversary gift, turned out to be more:lol:

My first inclination was that they are too similar bc both are togo.
But, I do have a swift B30 gold and an epsom B25 Gold sellier, both phw.
Bc of the difference in leather; slouch; and size, I don‘t think they are too similar, and I wear them for different occasions.
I also have a black B30 barenia and a black box K28, both brushed PHW, and I do think they are too similar, despite one being a B and the other a K. I rarely wear the K, and in fact, have loaned it to a friend for a few months.

@kate819 , my mother still doesnt quite understand that you cannot walk into an H and buy whatever bag you see. @PrayersandPurses , it sounds like your DH’s H education has worked well for you :biggrin:

@PurseCloset , I prefer veiny togo. For me, the issue today with togo is that it can appear matte/ dry (Not actually dry), but I’ve learned to get over that. I don’t think I would pay more than retail for it, but I happen to like enough other H merchandise, so buying retail isn’t an issue.

Asking here because I was deleted from the Special Order thread even though it’s a SO question and where else would I go to ask… anyway- does anyone know what year special order bags stopped making the Kelly in retourne with epsom leather?? I have my eye on a pre-owned one but I’m not sure when they stopped making the epsom/retourne combo. If anyone could help I would be soooo thankful- OR tell me where to ask.
