Evening, peeps! I must be the only person on earth who can follow a recipe for making apple pie and completely butcher it. Well, it has all the right flavors, but the apples on top are dry and crusty, and my beautiful lattice top turned all hard and crunchy. How do this happen?? But I can make a nice loaf of bread, got that down pat.

Oh no! Do you, by chance, use convection? Convection heat is great for baking, but the temperature should be slightly lower and it should bake for less time. I have been using convection ovens for 25 years. My latest has convect modes for bake and roast and, of course, the Perfect Turkey, LOL.
But your pie still sounds edible, yum; just put some ice cream on top and eat away.

BBL, I wish! I'm the worst about not shopping sales. I've gotten old and lazy, I think. If I see something online I like, I buy it, and have it shipped. Lazy, lazy, lazy!

I shop the pre-pre-sale, about 3 weeks early. I never have to even be at the store to do the actual buy. It's ready a couple days early and we pick it all up or it starts coming in dribs and drabs from .com. That particular sale is actually the best sale ever.
I can't even think about the anniversary sale.
I'm exhausted from the day and Herself is ready for bed.
Good night, CG and ladies!

A big scoop of ice cream covers all flaws. Now I need to get ice cream.

I seem to recall this was a requested piece - several chat threads ago but, I can't recall who requested it...

Here's a poor cellphone shot of it. I'll try to take really swank pics tomorrow!

Morning everyone,
:sunshine::sunshine::sunshine:
I lurve Uggs, I have the Ugg clogs in the parchemin(ish) color, the moon boots in brown, and a pair of the Jimmy Choo Uggs in black. I would never have gotten them, but 20% of the sale went to St. Judes, so I figured what the heck. They are outrageous though.

Morning PoTH! Winky is feisty as heck. I'm expecting a real scolding when I put him in the carrier for our road trip.

I'll be putting on my Uggs for that, but the bag is a Mulberry Kensington. No good bags at the vet's office.

EB! I feel the same, SO has always wanted a great dane, I don't want to pick up those droppings on our 4 times daily walks :p Hope you get a snowstorm! I'm hoping for any snow too, I want to work from home a day! :shame:

Restricter, I giggled out loud at the siggy! Hugs from the Pugsy household :hugs:

OB, douse it with ice cream, it's perfect! (I love apple pie, I'm drooling now )

Morning EB, PoTH, Mindi *waves*

Restricter, good luck at the vet's office

Purse!!! :hugs: Will you pass me a latte today? Busy day here

Good morning, Mindi, EB!! We were expecting to wake up to a winter wonderland. Not! Oh! There's a flake or two. We need food for the kids. DH has to run out for the king size bag o'dog food for the king and queen -- and the king's tranquilizers.
I hope the blizzard to come misses us and you today.
Here are some no-snow vibes
