I think the UK price increase is directly related to higher VAT. YAY non-european countries!

Avril: We can have a party for ourselves.

Restricter: Now I wish I had FB. And I will be sending Winky vibes. :hugs:

I am off to bed. Or rather.. I am just going to close my eyes. I have to go to school in the morning and I hope I will be rested. :p

Nurse - the increases were on the French website too, so not just UK  Since Ireland is in € I assume that means we get an increase too, and things are a bit more expensive here anyway than Paris prices (35 Birkin was €6,300 before increase).

I am sorry. I hope your SO Birkin will come in before the next price incease.

This means that we need to get our butts to the NY sale. :p

Laney - I agree with everyone else. Stop feeling guilty and think of it this way. People do not quietly slip away like they show in the movies, at least in my experience.

I was there when my father died. It was EXCRUCIATING to watch and the most horrifying part was that I didn't want to but the hospice nurses physically held me there so I could "say goodbye" while I listened to him gurgle his last breaths and stare at nothing with vacant eyes. This is not a memory I cherish. Sorry for the graphic description but I want you to understand that being there when someone you love dies is horrible.

Be grateful your sister didn't have to see that or anything remotely similar to it.

Laney sending you big hugs!!!

I'm fine, really. My really graphic point is that there are things you're better off not seeing.

So true.

There is a combo Taco Bell/KFC drive thru on the way home from the vet's office... :thinkin:

OK, just got off the phone with the vet. The guy that did that ultrasound is leaning towards lymphoma but Winky can also have an infection or inflammation. Given that Winky has been killed with cancer twice already in the past 12 months, I don't think it's lymphoma. I think it's either an infection, since he's prone to them or inflammation from his horrible eating habits (starving himself rather than eat the organic cat food and waiting for me to come home and feed him chicken).

Seems to me Winky deserves a Taco Bell chicken quesadilla for his troubles today.

I hope Winky is ok.

I love Wendy's!!

What? No In-N-Out?? THAT is sacrilege!

Hi Peeps! Back to the grind, as they say....Happy 2011. Not sucking yet...

Ok don't throw hamburger buns at me but I just have to say to anyone that loves In-N-Out, try Five Guys, (oh my, in and out, five guys, really there is a lot of cookie material there for creative minds :p ) We use to think In-N-Out had the best burgers until we had five guys, burgers that is....:amuse:

Restricter hoping for all clear news for Winky! He definitely deserves Taco Bell for dinner!

LOL Mindi!

Thanks Mree! Hugs to you too, hope you and your sister are doing well!

Yes, we have 5Gs, they opened one less than a mile from InO (cheeky bastards) but I have a special place for InO that 5Gs can't touch:p.

PS: Laney, sounds like a party in the San Fernado Valley if you're at all familiar with California...:graucho:

:lolots: I might have to try the new Five Guys that opened here, just for that! The burgers, I mean.

I understand about loyalty, I guess it's like coke vs. pepsi.

Sorry I am not familiar with SFV but my mind is whirling with wild ideas. :p

Was it a lymph node that they are suspicious of? Seems like something would've shown up on his bloodwork if it was lymphoma. Wonder if this might be residual inflammation from his tooth infection. Either way, Taco Bell seems to be the appropriate reward for scaring a big dog into a quivering mess and laying waste to a vet office and maybe a couple of technicians' fingers  All in a day's work for Winkster!
