Good morning!

Mindi, glad to hear drugs are on their way. Jules may be right about the childbirth comparison--especially since the childbirth pain goes away so quickly!

My massai has arrived! :woohoo: If I am going to be charged customs, how/when would that typically happen?

you will get a bill from the carrier (fedex or whomever) generally within a couple weeks. they prepay and bill you directly. the us gov't waits for no man, nor purse. crossing my fingers for you!

I was told once by a rheumatologist that pain is measured by toothaches. All other pain is relative. People can tolerate pain differently, but a toothache is a toothache. A toothache is a 10 painwise, while an arthritic knee feels different to me than to another patient. Pain is actually a good thing, because if your body does not feel pain, there is a problem. Take meds for the pain if you need it. Don't be a hero. If you need it, take it.

That's my motto! Unfortunately, I live with 2 heros...:cursing:

Feel better, Mindi!

Hope they forget to bill ya, CK! I just realized, I never got my VAT refund after my Paris trip. I filled it out and sent it properly - it just never arrived. Weird.

Ya know, ATG, I find that getting VAT back is a big crapshoot. I think governments are just LOOKING for any minor error by you or customs to invalidate your request. Usually I get it back; sometimes I don't. And, having said that, it can take forever, so you STILL might see it one of these days. But, it's a crapshoot. (DH's policy is never to buy anything on the grounds that we'll get the VAT refund. If I/he wants it badly enough to pay the extra 17% (in the UK) we'll go for it, but we don't expect to see that percentage again!)

We're fine not getting it. It was for my "H" bag & at the time it was a dollar to euro exchange. We felt like we got a bargain.

DH is plotting something that requires an overnight bag. Actually several nights! I have no idea WHAT IT IS!!

Considering what this weekend is, do you think you'll come down here??

That's the FIRST thing I thought of! So I started asking him - what kind of stuff do I need to bring?

He said I need one nice but, casual outfit for Saturday and then comfy shoes for Sunday. He said to prepare for rain...so I'm guessing we'll be outside on one of the days.

I'm positing a guess of Disneyland for Sunday! Sorry, Oscars! Maybe some kind of party on Saturday but, I have NO idea where!!

I don't want to over-dress so I'm looking for a pair of slacks and a nice but, not FANCY shirt. I thought of a dress but, the ones I have are all for formal stuff or sun dresses. I may have to run to the store!

Oh THAT would be a shame:p...

Well, if you are coming down here, bring your wellies, it is going to be yucky! And COLD! I know they are predicting snow in SF! Is it really that cold?

I'm freezing my booty off! So, I wouldn't be surprised about snow. Of course, I'll be outta town! :amuse: I always miss the SF snow (it's happened TWICE!)

Raining like crazy over here right now. Hoping to send DH out into the storm for food!

Still packing! DH said he won't tell me anything until we get to where we're going - tomorrow!

I can't wait!!

BOOOO! But still sweet! (OMG, what will the kittehs do????)

Hey, did you know there is a special with the NY Times for 50% off home delivery for 6 months with special increased Bay Area coverage on Fridays and Sundays? Just subscribed (w/o BA coverage:sad:) so I'll be well versed for my trip...
