I will try to make this, but is is just before DD graduates from HS. I will be in your neck of the woods earlier in May. PM me if you'd like to meet up then too.

I am on pins and needles about college acceptances. I know she is going to go someplace fantastic, but I hate suspense.

Oh EB, how exciting. Can't wait to hear where DD goes!! Hope you can join us but we'll toast you and DD if you can't!

DD won't eat beef. So I made them with ground pork and ground turkey. I put in bread crumbs, onion powder, chopped garlic, nutmeg, salt, white pepper, and chopped fresh rosemary with an egg as binder. I cooked them in tomato sauce and served it with spaghetti. Chateau St. Jean Cabernet was the perfect wine pairing too.

It was soooo yummy.

We just used meatless balls. I brown them in oil and they taste pretty good, but spaghetti is a must with meatballs. I cannot wait until my herbs get started. DS get home from school already!

What's a meatless meatball? Veggie?

BBL, good news re DH. My friend's DH had the same procedure and had to lie on his stomach for two weeks. Yikes.

Hey everyone! Wishing for GK's weather and flowers. We had 5 inches of snow this morning. Leaving for a short trip south tomorrow so maybe in between meetings I will experience warmth. lol

I had enchiladas tonight, but am drooling over EB's meatball recipe!! Nothin' wrong with food coma unless it was caused by your participation in a Man vs Food episode of "who can eat a 10lb burrito fastest."

Hey, GK! You and your talk of citrus...always makes me want to run out and buy an orange tree! But then I'm reminded of the pitiful orange tree that I had in college. Me and plants, not a good thing.

LOL! Ouija, it makes me want to jump on a plane spend the day eating citrus from Gracie's tree! I know if I planted one, it would die.

CG, they grow themselves. I throw some fertilizer at it and it grows. I never spray it with anything chemical. The lemon and the lime are amazing. They pump out more fruit than I can use. The lemon is a Meyer lemon which can be kind of useless because it is very low acid. I was very excited to find a Bobby Flay recipe for Caesar dressing using Meyer lemons! Yay! Finally a real use for them. Lemon meringue pie is a flop. Honestly, I don't know why the foodies swoon over them. Mostly I use in vinaigrette.

I would be happy to send them to you CG and Misti. I just need to find out if I would be breaking the law, No joke. Med fruit fly has always been a big thing here. Anything in or out has to be sprayed. If I am in FL, and want to send grapefruit back home, I have to use a shipper who is certified to send to CA.

Oh good grief. It's 11:30pm and there's a jackhammer being used at a construction site a few blocks away...it's been going almost non-stop for the last 2 hours :cursing: What's worse, it's construction on a parking deck for the courthouse so I'm thinking noise ordinances are being overlooked...
