With wooden armoires, you have to be a bit careful as different woods emit gasses. With costume jewelry, that can lead to problems but it should be fine with gold. It may create tarnish with silver, though, but there are anti-tarnish tabs that can be used.

The cabinet is lined in tarnish resistant fabric. What little silver I have is in it's own compartment. They also recommend against the use of silver polish. They do advise silver cloth. And, I am embarrassed to admit that I have very few pieces of costume jewelery. My pearls live elsewhere in great happy satin pillow-like containers

BBL, as long as your pearls are worn and get exposure to moisture in the air. The worst thing for them is to keep them in an airtight vault or safe. Pearls really thrive being worn! The oil from your skin helps keep the lustre nice. (Just don't spray perfume or hairspray near them.)

Hi LaLa!

She's doing better, went to school today, reluctantly, yet as I walked away she had her coat off and was chasing one of her friends to the playground with her jump rope. This was after I cautioned her to take it easy and not run around...:p She has Monday off, so I just need to get her through today and tomorrow....

What did you get Jax for  Day?

Just like a kid! :D Glad to hear she's doing better.

I haven't shopped for the kiddo, yet. I'm planning to possibly get him a book about Mummies----that is his latest interest. He has checked out every Mummy book at his school & got 5 books from our library. When DH asked him what he was going to do after he had read all those mummy books, he said, "I'm going to find other libraries & check out their mummy books." :p

I love things that thrive on being used!

Hey everyone

Tiz a sad day here today in Ireland, there was a plane crash in our second biggest airport  Six people tragically lost their lives, the other six are injured  There was really bad fog (they described it on the news that it was like soup, the fog was that thick). The pilot made three attempts to land and then somehow the plane crashed just off the runway. Two people out of the 12 on board just walked off the plane, it's a miracle they were able to do that.

Oh no! My worst nightmare! I'm so friggin' paranoid about that stuff. I'm really kinda rude about it. Whenever I've gotten calls like that, I insist on calling them back - using the official number from my bill or the website - not on any number they might give me. DH is completely clueless about possible scam stuff like this. He'll give it up to anyone who asks!

I'm bad about giving out seemingly unimportant information like "did your Internet get hooked up" but then I get paranoid, not knowing how a scammer would use that info but sure that they're up to no good.

Bmom, how do you find these cookies? :D

How terrible, Avril! Sending vibes to all involved.
