Morning (almost afternoon) all. No TJs here but everything is frozen now so frozen food doesn't hold a ton of appeal!

Re jewelry chests, consider the tool chests they sell at Home Depot. They're great and inexpensive. Also vintage dental cabinets and map chests.

That's a great idea. My stepfather was a dentist and we sold his practice after he died. I never thought about the cabinets. We did keep the vintage gold, however, LOL!! I just wanted to get the heck out of there when I was sitting in that chair!
I love jewelry boxes. I still have one from my Bat Mitzvah. It has my name stamped on it. My problem is having a pretty place to put the pretty things. I still tend to put the good stuff in hiding places that I can't even remember.
That armoire is amazingly nice looking and I was pleasantly surprised when DH put it together. When we were done, we found a little packet with all the tools!

With wooden armoires, you have to be a bit careful as different woods emit gasses. With costume jewelry, that can lead to problems but it should be fine with gold. It may create tarnish with silver, though, but there are anti-tarnish tabs that can be used.

Wow Mistikat, that's fascinating! I never thought about it but it makes perfect sense. I have a wooden jewelry armoire that I love. QVC and others have one that mounts on the wall with a mirror door that I liked too before I found mine. I tried looking for map cabinets but never found one. Ikea (ducking shooz) and JCP had some pretty ones too...

Hmm, just got an odd phone call from a guy asking if my Internet had been hooked up (I set up Internet for my parents right after Christmas and the company confirmed the installation that day)...of course, my Internet provider says the guy isn't their employee, and there was no reason for someone to be calling me. Great, I'm paranoid as it is, now I'll be going crazy wondering who has my info and what are they doing with it.

Winky definitely needs a jewelry armoire. Not a puny little box but a great big china cabinet sized one :D Hey, the boy loves his bling, what can you do?

Mindi, hope Miss O is feeling better!

BBL, vibes for no scolding from Dr. Fred and an uneventful visit.

You know I can't be grossed out by wormy talk early in the AM :D Highly unlikely that it's the food unless some critter got into the bag; could be tapeworms which can hang out for a long time before appearing. Now how's that for grossing my peeps out.

Good morning all. Winky sends his regards! We're still in full spoiling mode -- all the food he can eat, all the hugs and kisses he can handle and anything else his furry little heart desires. He may have an ear infection again, so I dosed him with drops this morning just in case. I can always tell when ear infections are brewing and he didn't put up a fight with the drops so that pretty much confirms my suspicions. In other news, at least one of his furry cousins downstairs has worms. Bleeccchhh. None of them are outdoor cats so I can only assume it came from the bag of dry food (that I picked up for them at Petsmart a couple of weeks ago, oy!). I reiterate: bleccchhhh! I've never had a pet with worms and after witnessing it firsthand downstairs, I will do my utmost to avoid it.

OB - yes, Winky is definitely over the moon with his bling. He let me wear his angel charm today but he's hoarding the rest of the TSC items in his cat tent. He suggested I get a jewelry armoire that he can sleep under and on top of. Not sure where I'd put it though...

How is everyone this morning now that I've grossed you all out?

Oh no! My worst nightmare! I'm so friggin' paranoid about that stuff. I'm really kinda rude about it. Whenever I've gotten calls like that, I insist on calling them back - using the official number from my bill or the website - not on any number they might give me. DH is completely clueless about possible scam stuff like this. He'll give it up to anyone who asks!

Hi LaLa!

She's doing better, went to school today, reluctantly, yet as I walked away she had her coat off and was chasing one of her friends to the playground with her jump rope. This was after I cautioned her to take it easy and not run around...:p She has Monday off, so I just need to get her through today and tomorrow....

What did you get Jax for :heart: Day?
