ATG! YAY! Your gift finally came in. I love it!!! My dad picked up my mail today and I just checked it. Thank you so much. It has been opened and scanned by customs so I suspect that is why it took so long. I am at my parents place as I am having my job interviews this week and it feels safe to be here. :p

:hugs: :hugs:

At last! I was just about to send you something else thru UPS in the hopes that you'd get it!

I still might, actually - since it's all ready to go! Glad you liked it!

Quick drive by---winding down after a busy day. Collin and Magic are both sleeping and I'm off to follow their lead.

Joining in the chant for springspringspring! It's below zero here again....

Good night! Will catch up more tomorrow!

On our way into the city today with two dogs, one of whom (Miss O) is bilious, poor baby. I think she got her maw on a chicken treat, and her IBD is acting up. Will try to score some Sucralfate from the vet this morning to help her. So, apartment, cold weather, one dog vomit-y, one who likes to poop indoors! Good times! Actually, no biggie. We'll roll with it. Love to da Peeps and don't have too much fun without me, okay? I'll be back tomorrow.

Hang in there Mindi!!!! And have a good time in the big city!

Good morning all. Winky sends his regards! We're still in full spoiling mode -- all the food he can eat, all the hugs and kisses he can handle and anything else his furry little heart desires. He may have an ear infection again, so I dosed him with drops this morning just in case. I can always tell when ear infections are brewing and he didn't put up a fight with the drops so that pretty much confirms my suspicions. In other news, at least one of his furry cousins downstairs has worms. Bleeccchhh. None of them are outdoor cats so I can only assume it came from the bag of dry food (that I picked up for them at Petsmart a couple of weeks ago, oy!). I reiterate: bleccchhhh! I've never had a pet with worms and after witnessing it firsthand downstairs, I will do my utmost to avoid it.

OB - yes, Winky is definitely over the moon with his bling. He let me wear his angel charm today but he's hoarding the rest of the TSC items in his cat tent. He suggested I get a jewelry armoire that he can sleep under and on top of. Not sure where I'd put it though...

How is everyone this morning now that I've grossed you all out?

I have no desire to cook and we should NOT eat junk food...ah, such a dilemma.

Trader Joe has just the thing. We go there about once a month, stock up on frozen things that are pretty nutritionally good. Their pizzas are high in protein, whole grain and low in fat, they have good veggie, vegan and gluten-free foods. I know I sound like a commercial, but their foods are pretty good, easy to store, and very reasonable. I have to buy extra now, because I like to keep my garage freezer stocked for DS when he drops by and brings extras home to his house. I love that.

Oh, poor Miss O. I am supposed to take carafate/sucracalfate twice a day on top of my GERD meds. That stuff works great, but it is impossible for me to swallow, so I just don't take it. Yuck. Does Olive get hers in a pill pocket? I wish I could put mine in a pill pocket :smile1:, but it is miserable stuff. My mother had to take it, too. So did Horatio, and Charley. Can you tell how emotional a house we have? It goes right to our guts!!!

Restricter, You might want to look at this little number, but it needs a handy person to put it together. http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.item.H06374.desc.GoldSilver-Safekeeper-Trifold-Jewelry-Cabinet-by-Lori-Greiner
It may not me your style, bit it holds a lot of jewelry. I finally broke down and got one. DS put it together without much screaming. All of the tools you need are in the kit. Even the screwdriver. It's kind of a nice piece, because it has a three-way mirror and gives a lot of storage.
Anyway, how are you feeling today? Still need chicken soup? Do I need to make a trip to Chez Trois Chats this weekend to take care of you?
I actually do a mean chicken soup and make nice fluffy matzoh balls.
Let us know. Chicken soup 'r us!

BBL - I absolutely LOVE assembling stuff. No idea why but I do. It's therapeutic. The big dilemma is where to put the bloody thing.

I still feel like roadkill and will probably leave work early today. I have no interest whatsoever today in trade surveillance, our outsourcing policy or the proposed rule about hedge fund disclosures.

I agree--TJs has saved me now that I have so little time to cook. The frozen BBQ teriyaki chicken stirfry is my fave!

As expensive as they can be, I love the meats and fish at TJ's too. We just had some lamb chops from there. Winky, Smuffy and Jinjy each at a whole chop by themselves!!! Luckily, there was one left for me.

BTW, the frozen French onion soup rules!!

We used to get the frozen fish at TJ. I didn't think it was expensive back then. At some point, it didn't taste as great to me. Since we don't indulge in lamb anymore, no lamb chops (formerly my favorite food) at chez BBL. I bought cod the other day at the super market and it was $8 a pound. When DS eats with us, it has to be wild caught. I found that the frozen cod at Target is exactly as good as from the market.
So much for the grocery report today.
Time to get ready for Dr. Fred.
Wish me luck and no scoldings from him. And hope that I don't forget my Vitamin B12 shot.
