Thks Perlogirl28. Maybe I lack imagination but I really cannot see what bad experience may have occurred. Bag was paid for and boxed. All I needed was for the store to keep hold of it, for 2h max, while I was going to another of their local stores, to purchase more of their products. Anyway, I'm over it now. Not a massive deal just a small disappointment.

it could have been taken by another client on purpose or by accident , accidentally sold again etc. stuff happens in busy stores with lots of SAs

Well I doubt the bag being sold by the reseller will be discounted in any way. In fact I am pretty certain it will be offered at a steep mark up. Why don't the potential buy just buy directly from H? I have no idea. The same reseller also sold H furniture before that they shipped to their buyer in the UK. Again no idea why the UK buyer didn't just buy from H in London.

Oh and BTW a poster from just a few posts up mentioned a white B being offered to a regular at the new store in plain sight. By sheer coincidence there is a white B offered by the same reseller as the black diamond croc.

My guess in piecing all these things together - a VIP from London is a well disguised reseller.

Could be! It wouldn't surprise me, it's very lucrative if you are well established and have a clientele willing to pay double or triple the price.

Don't even need to have an established clientele...they are selling on FB and also a brick and mortar store in Asia. Anyone with money can buy from them.

Sigh....I feel so bad for all the ladies and their loved ones I read on here trying to get a bag for their own use. I have no motivation interfering with others running a business and making themselves successful but when there is a massive conflict of interest I feel the need to call it out. I have said enough on this topic, I am stopping with this post.

btw does any one in London know the Royal Exchange H offers B/K if you are a long standing customer and have built a local relationship with one of their SAs?

I do know they have bags which are not on display, so their stock room is at the back (or at the Vault of the Bank of England :) who knows.. hahah)

Their displayed stock is so small, but it is a lovely store. having said that they do have some very unique pieces from time to time!

Hi! I haven't posted in this forum for ages  I frequent that store a lot and often have web orders sent there for collection. I haven't bought any bags in several years but have been buying a lot of homewares. The last few times I've been in there I've been asked when am I going to get another bag. The last time I said I didn't know what I wanted at the time, the SA asks what bags I had and suggested a Kelly. I told her I thought it would be too fiddly and I'd need to think. She said they get different bags from time to time and I was also under the impression that they had more in the stock room than on display.

i seem to get the same feeling too about their bags, and i am sure they put their stock in a separate room . Their stock cupboard at the back was too small :)
I have been to R exchange many times over the years on and off, they are a very friendly bunch and their store manager is always very helpful:) and recently they did say if I have something in mind I should tell them lol so i wasnt sure if i should drop the K/B/C word because i never really purchase any thing direct from this prticular store but surely they can see my history from others?

i also agree with you that K is too fiddly to close... but i do have one and love it to bits :)

I will be traveling to Europe soon, London is first stop then on to other EU countries. As I arrive at airport, can I shop and purchase at the H store inside the airport? Or are the stores for international departure only? Thank you

Yes for departure only. No route to the duty free shop , u will pass the custom, claim baggage and come to arrival hall.

Thank you for the reply ...
but, darn!
Another question, is it better to shop H at London or Barcelona?
Even before the pounds drop, London is already a difficult place to get the bag. Just went to Spain in February, been to all four stores except the one in Marbella, and there weren't any chance to get a rodeo, or b/k/c, the SA wasn't friendly, and one of them bluntly told me that B/K/C are for Spainish only.

I was in London during the Chinese New Year (end of Jan17). It was very hard to get a bag even Garden Party, nothing on the shelves . Unless you are looking for canvas bag, large Evelyn, cherche and verrou. NBS all the bags are for display only during the early Feb17. I hope the stock is better now IMG_1490176773.361961.jpg.
