Hi everyone! Long time lurker here and loved reading everyone's stories, so thought I'd share my own!
Started my first wish list at NBS in Sept 2021 (B25 neutral) and luckily connected with an SA via an acquaintance then.
As with most newbies here I feel I've went through the same woes regarding pre-spend and building a relationship with the SA, scrolling endlessly through TPF getting tips on how to "play the game" etc. Which got tiring after a while and took away the fun of shopping - NOT what you want to feel when spending your hard earned cash!
I'm not big spender and over the 2 years only bought pieces that I truly love and use daily - mainly shoes, a non-QB bag, wallets, one piece of fine jewellery (nothing crazy).
All purchases were made at the boutique from available stock.
Definitely felt the impatience growing even with non-bag items, especially with stock levels being so low in 2021-2022. I recall seeing store displays being near empty!
Life gradually got in the way so I slowed down to the point where I'd visit only every 3-4 months just to say hi and browse casually. Picked up something small (e.g. rodeo) only if there was something I liked.
My SA was always lovely in person but didn't feel that strong of a relationship with her (being a massive introvert did not help at all). I also come from a culture where business relationships are kept professional - even H relationships operate differently over there - so it took me a while to acclimatise to how things worked here!
Sadly she left H earlier this year and introduced me to a colleague, whom I've only met with once shortly after just to renew my wish list (3rd wish list, switched to K25).
Honestly at that point I've stopped expecting anything so didn't put much effort to connect with the new SA as the first interactions felt a bit forced. If it's meant to be it'll be!
Until one random day this Summer I finally got *that* email from her with an offer in my specs - K25 neutral - totally unexpected given how lax I am, and I'm still over the moon!
Total wait was 2 years.
I'm not sure if SA relationship or spending played that big of a part for me, it was probably more to do with patience and a dash of luck!
