A friend of mine was in the Monaco store to get some items for me and when she asked whether there was any birkin available the SA actually replied: "We don't sell Birkins to the 'public'"- needless to say, I told my friend to leave the store without buying the other items.
Any updates? Thinking of going to H boutiques outside Paris, maybe Dijon, mageve, Courchevel etc in Jan ... TIA
Don't know anyone who got bags in Dijon as walk-in, but I've gotten a bag from Megeve and my friend from Courcheval (a couple years ago). I think the wealthy ski resorts are used to catering to tourists...

Metz, i can only recommend this store, since my girlfriend comes from Metz i'm from Frankfurt Germany, i can say i prefer the store in Metz, they always have huge amounts in stock, they are not arrogant at all to people they see the first time and i bought some items there already and will continue to do so

Hi I am visiting my boyfriend this Christmas and he is from Germany ..and just wondering do you think whether to stand any chance to get a b/k by walk in in any German store ?I have been to couple of them before but no luck and they said they don't offer b/k to outsiders .. Any idea ?
Unfortunately this is impossible.
They only order B/K for local clients and all lists are closed. Sorry, ninunani!

I'm planning a trip with my husband to France in next october and would like your advise about which cities have better H stores regarding to stock and good chances to score a B/K, except Paris, of course. Just had a great experience in Strasbourg! Never planned to spend 2-hr trying on so many leather goods non-stop on the day we arrived. SA just kept bringing out boxes after boxes! Although they don't have the size I was originally looking for, but got something even better! Strasbourg is a very beautiful place to stay & to explore the history & the amazing almost 100YR Cathédrale!
