Hermes Boutiques in France (besides Paris)

Just an exp, have been in France since 20 Dec for honeymoon and have been applying for the lottery since then but no luck. Spent on a Kelly belt and perfume at Lyon’s Hermes on 24 Dec, and the SA was super nice. Supposed to buy some shoes (Orans and sneakers) but no size, and asked if I needed anything else.

I asked if there’s any leather bags available and she said that since it’s the Eve, all has been sold. Told me to try on Thurs 26 Dec, as there might be shipment. And was told she’s on leave until 30 Dec so she told me to feel free to ask her colleagues when I’m back.

Came back on 26 Dec, at 10:35am just - and was served after 3 mins. Told the SA everything I was told by his colleague and he asked for my acc deets, (first France acc) and asked me what I was looking for.

I asked for C18 and if not a Picotin is ok. He said that Cs are wish list only so impossible but would check on the Picotin. Felt like 10 mins later, he came back and said there were no stock for Ps. I asked if there is any chance in the afternoon or tmr morning - he said no guarantee, but welcome to try.

Come back the next day, 27 Dec - no SAs came to serve me even after 25 mins. Felt like I was ignored on purpose and left.

Gonna try my luck with Paris. 🥲

Hi, I will be traveling to Courchevel in a couple of weeks. Just wondering if anyone has recent experience at the Courchevel store. Is it a friendly store with stock available? Thanks!

Very friendly store, but tiny and not much stock (sizes). But, I’ve only been once in Feb 2024 (will be back later in 2025 than you) so will look for your update. In contrast, Dior is enormous and has a ton of stuff :) Good luck!

Wondering if anyone has feedback on the Biarritz store in terms of inventory and leather goods?

I may also have time to visit the Bordeaux location.

I assume the chances of quota bags for tourists are slim, but i'd love to know if anyone is familiar with these locations!!

I was there two years ago. It’s a small store and nice staff. I asked but they said not available ( for me.. :biggrin: )

When I went 1.5 years ago, the Bordeaux store was remodeling so I went to the temporary location, but they advised that if they had a handbag including a Birkin or Kelly they would offer it to a walk-in tourist. Due to the remodel they were in a temporary location with no handbag stock.

Biarritz was a very small store and didn’t have much when I was there, but it was a cute town.

Are you required to make an appointment in Aix like you are in Paris? That online system is maddening. It almost wrecks vacation when you’re focusing on trying to get that appointment.!

I’m going to France soon and even if I want to try getting a bag in Paris, I know it’s been really difficult these times.

Indeed, I thought of trying my luck in other cities : Bordeaux, Nantes, Strasbourg or other little stores such as the ones in Dijon, Tours or Biarritz.

Does anyone have information about these boutiques and if it’s easier or eventually possible to get a bag with a little prespend ? I am looking for a Constance 18 or KTG/CTG.

Looking forward to your tips ! 😊

Hermes utilizes an appointment system called rendezvous.com. You can only register for appointments when you are in France. I don’t believe it’s required to have an appointment outside of Paris, but I’ll let others weigh in on that. That being said, I have walked into a Paris Hermes twice without an appointment, 2022 and 2024 and inquired at the desk and was able to purchase a bag both times. I was offered everything except a Kelly or a Birkin, which I don’t want anyway, and I chose an Evelyne both times as they suit me!
