Hi!
Did not post in a while but wanted to share my experience at the Biarritz boutique on Dec 30.
I was visiting my family in the southwest of France and wanted to try my luck there to find an Evelyne PM. With my mom, we came prepared wearing H bags, scarves and jewelry. The boutique is pretty small but with a little bit of everything (RTW, shoes, jewelry, watches, tableware...).
We met a lovely young SA who told us that they have no stock for bags (not a surprise). Everything they have is on display. We saw some Jige clutches, Verrou bags, a Steve light bag and other styles I do not know.
The SA told us that they expect delivery at the beginning of January and also warn us about the price increase. I was a little bit disappointed but fingers crossed they will receive what I am looking for soon :amuse:
We did not leave empty-handed. My mom got a Brides de gala double face silk scarf 90 in rose/rouge/gris CW (pics from the US website).
Thank you for letting me share!

My mother and I are planning a UK/France trip for later this year. We were originally going to go to London and Paris and planned to do some shopping since we haven’t been able to go to Europe for almost 3 years due to Covid. Since getting a leather appointment at the Paris Hermès stores seems to be almost impossible these days, I’m wondering what the chances are of being able to purchase a non-quota bag from one of the other French Hermès stores outside of Paris. Interested in picotin 22, halzan 25 or 31, Lindy 30, bolide 25 size. We’ll also likely be purchasing a few silks, shoes, belts in case that makes a difference. Will look at RTW but haven’t loved Hermès RTW in the past. Thank you for any insight!

I would suggest checking Cannes and Monaco, if possible. I have been successful at purchasing quota bags from Cannes (without a pre-spend), but those two locations seem to me to have decent stock as compared to Nice and Aix en Provence at least. That said, it doesn't hurt to try for a leather appointment in Paris.

Went to Lyon shop today, while visiting France for skiing. Shop was very busy, maybe as it’s last weekend before Christmas. Husband bought two pairs of shoes and pullover, and asked SA if she can make me happy with a nice bag. She politely said that after he pays, somebody else will come to talk about bags. Maybe after 20 minutes (we were just seating middle of the shop) one gentleman came, and asked for my preferences. I was really surprised as many people were around us, I said that I am looking for birkin 25/30 or Constance 18. He came back very fast, with a small orange box, and opened it in the middle of women section. It was Constance 18, noir with marbled buckle. I was very much surprised, asked for size 24 for comparison, but chose 18.
Not the best picture, but I still didn’t open it:smile: side note - husband has a lot of purchases from France boutiques, including Kelly from Paris store.
Beautiful! I have the same, in 24.

I went to Lyon again last Saturday and was paired up with an amazing SA. I was looking for bags (Kelly 25 and mini Kelly mostly) and wallets (Kelly to-go, classic Kelly wallet, etc.). She showed me a few options of the smaller Kelly wallets and the Kelly portefeuille and I was really drawn to one of the shorter Kelly wallets except for the fact it had a noticeable scratch on it and since it was epsom it probably won’t be easily repairable. She also told me it was going to be pretty much impossible to get me a Kelly since there wasn’t enough time before I leave France (I was leaving in a week). I then asked if there were any Constances and after looking through her phone she told me it might be possible to offer me one in a red color, gold hardware in swift leather the following week before I leave. She noted me down on her phone and told her she would contact me the next week if there was a bag she could offer me. I happily agreed and went on to look at belts & ended up choosing a Kelly belt in Etoupe with RGHW. While she was looking for belts in my size in the back I saw that they had the Oz mules in the Beige Sarrazin color I’ve been interested in and bought those too. I left the store content and satisfied with my new belt and shoes thinking that even if I wasn’t offered a bag the next week I would still be happy with what I’ve purchased so far.

Flash forward to next week, the lovely SA let me know that she was able to get ahold of a bag to offer me and told me to go into the store on Friday. I was so excited and booked my train tickets for Friday right away. Today I took that train to the Lyon store and even though that SA was not in stores today, she put the bag on hold for me so I was able to get it with no issues. When it was unveiled to me I was so over the moon! Here it is: Constance 24 in Rouge H with GHW in the Veau Madame leather. I went in expecting it to be in Swift because that’s what the SA told me but I’m so glad it’s in the Madame calfskin since I’ve always preferred Epsom for structured bags like Constances and this leather seems to be the perfect in between of Swift and Epsom - softer and finer-grained than Epsom. I’m in love! I’ll be leaving France tomorrow and while I can say I’d have enjoyed my trip even if I hadn’t been offered this bag, I can’t deny that being able to go home carrying this beauty makes the experience just that much better :P:love:

This is my first Constance and I can now appreciate it’s craftsmanship and quality —just impeccable.

Wow! Congratulations the colour is beautiful! I will be passing by Lyon end of the month and your SA sounds amazing. Is it possible for me to have her contact so I can check the stock for some homeware, shoes and jewellery? Thank you

Hi all! I'm going to France in May for my honeymoon and planning to visit Nice, Monaco, Cannes and Lyon. From reading in the thread, is it safe to say I could go to in each store and ask for a B/K directly? The SAs won't look at me weirdly right? TIA!

I will not suggest that route. But of course, you are free to do that. On rare chances, in H (especially in Paris), they could sell you a B/K without any pre-spend. But personally, that has never happened to me. And if you read thru the threads here, you'll see that doing such a thing in obtaining a B/K is seldomly successful.

Reviving this thread! I did read elsewhere that someone went to Lyon in the last six months and got a Kelly 25 by asking. Anyone else take the train from paris to Lyon to check this out recently? I’m heading to Paris in June and August and quite curious to give it a shot in addition to Paris

I actually got offered a Kelly when shopping in Nice without prior purchases! I walked in intended to pick up some Oran sandals but they didn't have my size, so I casually asked if if they have any bags available, just for fun. The SA took the spec and came back with a Kelly 25! I guess it's really depends on dropping in at the right time and if the SA is in a decent mood. :amuse: But that was back in 2015 not sure if they'd offer bags so easily nowadays.

My mom had the same experience at the Cannes store with a K28 this past summer. She asked for a couple pairs of shoes, which they didn’t have in her size, and we inquired as to whether they had any bags available. Just like in your case, the SA took down the specs, and came back with exactly what my mom was looking for. Right place at the right time! ☺️

Hi can anyone share what is the stock level for Lyon currently? And what are the chances of getting a b/k/c? It seems stock level is Low everywhere and I’m wondering if it’s the same at Lyon. TIA

Hello. I will be visiting Lyon in June, and it is my first time to France.

Can I do a walk-in at the Lyon store or is it by appointment? Is an appointment only needed for quot bags? I’m hoping to get a Lindy, and some twillys.

Appreciate help!
Thank you!
