Hi ladies!

I was told Canada is very low on stock and is not even able to add names to the wish list until march/april but I would be put on it anyways.

has anyone had any luck/recent experiences with Birkins in Canada lately?

Thanks so much!

Vancouver!

My family has shopped there a lot and they told me it would take awhile to get a black 35 Birkin in. I know they are generally low on stock- they don't even have H belts because they are sold out!

I called the Vancouver H store today, wanting to put my name on the waitlist for B35 or B30. SA said she can't put me on wait list, until probably April / May this year...ARGGG!!! Is that the same for the rest of us Canadian hermes lovers?

That's what they said to me too!

When I insisted I should get on it no problem because my family has spent so much there she hesitantly agreed to take down my name and put me down when the list opens up.

I am not sure if that was just her covering for saying the list was closed off and saying "alright i'll take down your name to put it on" or if the list is legitimately overfull!

Would anyone know if that's also the case with Toronto store.....can't take orders/names till March/April ?

You could try calling.

I know Hermes says the wait lists are closed or whatever to people who don't shop there often but I mean, my family has shopped there quite a bit so I am slightly confused as to why they are telling me that?

A few years ago I was able to get a Birkin in a week but that was back then.

^^ Thanks! About your Birkin, did you order it then got it in a week? If yes, that's pretty insane.....

Yes it was in 2006! I ordered one and they said it would take a few weeks to a few months, called me within 7 days and told me one had come in for another customer who had changed her mind. I had never shopped there before in my life either!

Amazing how much Hermes has changed.

Now it's hard to get one even though I have shopped there a ton :(

Hi Ladies,

I am new here, and I regularly take a look at the forum for entertaining, but since I'm from Québec, Canada, I think I could give you a piece of advice.

My name is William, and I am a student. My best friend (which is a student as well) and I enjoy going out shopping in Montreal once in a while.

The last three times we went to Hermès, over a period of six months, we have been able to look at different Birkin handbags. They were not always on the shelves, but the SA was extremely kind and got them out for us upon request. The first time it was a blue mykonos (I think) matte croc on the shelf. The second time, it was a 35cm Veronese Togo with PH, and the last time, a 40 cm Veronese Togo with GH.

I will have to be deadly honest here. I've been reading multiple threads on how people should act to score a Birkin, as it seems almost impossible without spending astronomical amounts routinely. The thing is: we are both students in the health domain. We never played any game. We never tried to trick anyone into thinking we were heirs or billionaire kids. We were simply humble, honest about our lives and interest for the lifestyle conveyed by Hermes, and how we were fascinated by the brand both for its pedigree and the products themselves. And had my friend (she is a Radiology Resident) decided to get either one of the Veronese Birkins (she almost did actually), the SA would have simply let us leave with the bag. Upon our first lenghty encounter that is.

I did not want to seem Off topic here, but this little intro was to get to this point: It seems like they might have Birkins in Montreal once in a while. They will certainly not be on the shelves all the time, but they DO have bags on what seems to be a regular basis. The amazing SA my friend and I had the chance to talk to extensively is called Luc. He is a slender middle-aged man with impeccable manners yet down-to-earth, passionnate approach. I however can't say the same for some other male SAs over there in Montreal.

If you have the chance to go to the Montreal store once in a while, I can tell you from my experience that some interested conversation about the products and a healthy dose of modesty can easily get you a Birkin straight from the backstore. I guess that since Montreal is nowhere near New York or Toronto when it comes to sales volume, they tend not to sell Birkins as quickly as it would do in those other locations.

I hope it helped a bit :)

Hi mercaddict:

Your experience at H Montreal is most helpful. I'll be in Montreal later this week and will be sure to try luck at H.:graucho:
