WOW! Looking magical in mint my dear Croisette!! Fabulous.

I'm excited about the twillons too! I noticed on the Baobab twillon that one colorway has a piece of the leopard's face, and the other doesn't (see below). And, it looks like we may want to be shopping for them in the boutiques, rather than online ... "Each twillon is unique as it is cut from a silk scarf, revealing different parts of the design."

Hmm...that is interesting. Seeing the photos really intrigued me more as I think I may be able to pull it off as a sort of casually tied "tie" hung loosely around the neck. They are certainly fun. I do find it kind of funny that H touts the uniqueness of them being cut from {I assume} a 90cm carre yet it is likely they have just simply found a use for scarves that are damaged in other areas and can't be sold whole...reminds me of petit h in a way.

Deep thanks to yodeling and the many others who’ve contributed their intel on the new season!

However, I think I am safe from this season. I like some of the new designs but not enough to buy. I only love one corner of Act III, so that’s a no-go. I was excited to see MP and Sous l’egide de Mars csgms and the cws are nice but not enough to make my heart stop. Everything is just *nice* to me when I wanted to be swept off my feet and catapulted into the stratosphere. I want to covet it so bad I’d be willing to (almost) sell my firstborn. Instead, I’ll be keeping the kidlet, and gladly. [emoji23]

It’s funny, I skipped last year’s AW for the same reason. Maybe I’m just more a SS kind of girl...

I agree with Mindi and others that I absolutely hate the practice of slapping a repetitive overlay on a perfectly nice design, minimizing the colors and calling it a day. It’s seriously lazy and cheap of H in my opinion.

I'm leaning your way with AW18. However.

I'll admit that I'm quite fascinated by Acte III. Love the play, love the Rousseau-like artistry (thanks to @lanit for this insight). But it's such a busy design, and I'm so short, I'm worried that it will overpower me. Definitely need to wait until I can see it in the store. I do like the "cloud" corner and the "stripe" corner, but I'm kind of bothered that the lady standing by Bottom has half her head cut off by the moon. :whut: I realize this won't show when the scarf is tied, but still...

Baobab Cat is another one that draws me, in a way, but only when it's tied exactly right. I'm worried about the eyes, and I'm also worried that the polka dots will make me crazy.

We'll be in San Francisco in October, and will of course schedule plenty of time at the boutique. I'm fully prepared to fall in love with BOTH of these designs and be back here eating humble pie!

I’m inclined to agree with you on most of your comments. I love the idea of Act III but that moon is haunting me and not in a good way.
The baobab cat scarf is beautiful tied but those eyes....hmmmm. I bought so many SS scarves that perhaps it’s good that a few of these are causing me to stop and make more thoughtful selections.
Many thanks to those who have so kindly posted photos so far.
I hear you. I have the Acte III and my DD thinks the moon is utterly ridiculously creepy! :P

I don't mind the moon. But I don't like the head-chopped-off lady just under the moon, and the tiger (lion? panther? leopard?) in the bottom right is a bit on the fierce side.

On the other hand, once the scarf is tied, all of these elements vanish and we're left with interesting bits of color. Like the armor on Samuraïs, which bothered me a whole lot until I finally got to try one on and realized that in a bias fold, t was all behind my neck!

I was confused about how these are supposed to be enjoyed. Thank you Yodaling1 for sharing the Hermes mod shots.

It is kind of creepy....
I love the artistry of the design when appreciated flat but once tied, I would need to hide that moon.
I’m not in love with it tied at all.
Conversely, baobab cat is weird flat...silly, perhaps but pretty when tied (except for those eyes inevitably on one’s neck)....
Need to see both IRL

I did a quick color comparison. The black and purple clouds with the bright contrast hem are the parts that give a nod to CW 08 Samourais the most to me, the and the other colors feel more like CW 02. The detailing colors follow more of the Samourais 02, but of course, the subject matter is entirely different and has a totally different feel. I stole your pics fifi!!! (and a couple of others from here on tpf too because I google imaged them instead of searching here...)

fabulous, much more beautiful than a modelling shot

Very elegant! My first choice was the raspberry pink cw, but when I saw it IRL, it was a tad too Hello Kitty cute. I need to unsee the :catlick:
