It's still pretty unheard of actually! She was shocked that they were so accommodating! Her husband didn't buy anything else! Just that one K!

I see a lot more Lindys in every store. Back in 2013-2014 when I was looking for mine, I had to ask high and low and searched for a few months before finding a lindy in size 30 (and only 1 color available at that store). Now i see them on the shelves in 6 diff. colors and in every size!!
Bottom line is the extra production capacity from the new factories planned a few years ago is now met with global slowdown. Not only are competitors caught up with their product offering (in terms of variety) and bespoke features, H games of using Bs & Ks as ransom to expand sales of other product lines are not working with the weakening Euros (price disparity between Europe and other continents). More people are encouraged to head to Paris to try their luck so less customers willing to pay full price at home.
Personally, I feel customers' taste have also changed. As some are cutting back on their bag purchases, accessories sales are seeing double digit growth. Look at those Fendi bag charms and leather straps. They are indulgences for a relatively small price.
After all, H products are ultimate luxury and command astronomical prices. The 'new blood' that have been fueling some of the growth in the past are also buying less or turning to other luxury brands. All these factors are now having a material impact on their sales and inventory.

I have to agree. a couple of years ago finding a cdc was like looking for a four-leaf clover. now I have never walked into a boutique and not seen several of them displayed not to mention the unseen back stock. last week i saw multiple rodeos in the display case. when I asked my SA for additional colors and sizes he pulled open the drawer and there were at least 25 rodeos. no joke! I was so surprised but it almost made the ones I purchased less like finding a unicorn and special. maybe Hermes is becoming too available......
Yes much more stock. I've been in three H stores in the last couple of weeks and all three had lots of inventory. I actually overheard a SA in a small boutique ask a man buying ties if he was interested in a Birken or Kelly!
nice! how many ties was this guy buying?
i saw at the inventory thread a person posted a birkin on display for sale at saks too. i didn't see a "display only" sign in front of it either so it looked availabe for walk ins. hmm...
was this during a visit near the end of a month? my SA said it is easier to get a B or K during the end of the month if the store is not meeting its quota.Yes much more stock.
