Hi everyone :) im a newbie to puseforum but have been a H lover and enthusiast for awhile now. I know this may be a little off topic but i have a question i dont know if anyone could help me with. I am in the market for a b30 at the moment and i happened to chat with a reseller yesterday who told me that Hermes is or may be thinking of discontinuing the b35 in the near future? Do anyone know or heard of this? Would like to know :) cheers xx

Thanks to those who have shared thoughts. Inventory in stores and online is definitely more plentiful than the past few years. I have also noticed that H has caught on to the smaller bag trend also and catered to it, mini versions of various bags released....Halzan, Roulis, New Kelly mini and more reveals of K25 and B25s I notice. CDC inventory has also definitely increased.

Wonder how many are not as enamored or excited when they find out a particular item isn't so hard to get anymore because of increased inventory. Part of H's allure has been the chase, hunt and exclusivity.

But EB has a good point, no K/B/C on display shelves like before. Perhaps that would be a serious indicator.

I also notice that over the years rumors of the C not being offered circulated but yet so many reveals, though still hard to get.

Anyway, keep sharing. I find this fascinating. Thanks!

I would be very shocked if B35 was discontinued. I highly doubt it. Wonder where he got his Intel from. It's a staple and classic size even though there is a mini small bag craze at the moment. Even ******** posted an article that fashion may be moving back toward larger bags again on the runway. I have no evidence of any info true or not but discontinuing the B35 seems highly unlikely to me imho.

Not true
35 are popular as well
How can h just depends on b25 n b30
Go think
Your hoax friend is trying to convince you buy her b35
Simple haha

Probably a good idea to take advantage while inventory is available. H will certainly be experiencing a slowdown in Asia as the government is frowning on high cost gift giving. Macao is still very weak and HK is not recovered either. So H is probably distributing more into markets where they can net liquidity.

But this will change, they will reshift, and it may not be as easy in the future. H seems a company very knowledgeable about the risks of overdistribution.

I think it would be highly unlikely this would ever happen. B35 was the original birkin size and it still seems very popular...

I think there are more items in the US because Hermes makes more money on products in the US as opposed to other countries. I remember years ago that Japan had the inventory again because Japan's prices were 2x as they were in the US.

I do not see Kellys or Birkins on the shelves as I did 10-15 years ago.
,

i would think that it is due to a high demand for H in US, which also results in higher prices. is it the same in Asian stores? if you ask who spends most in H boutiques in Europe it is US and Asian tourists...

I think part of the reason H goods sold in Europe is mostly to US and Asian is because of the huge price gap. European goods have traditionally always been cheaper. And it is especially true now due to very favorable currency exchange rate and because of the VAT tax back. Even when the exchange rate was higher goods were better priced with VAT back. Whether I bought H or Moncler etc it was still cheaper to buy in Europe even when I was paying $1.40 to the 1€. I know for me traveling to Europe that has been the case. I theorize that if prices were the same in US as Europe than demand may be a lot less by tourists.

You are right of course. The goods produced in Europe will always be cheaper in Europe, apart from handling and shipping, there are also import duties. Also tourists get death leaving Europe, while they do not always pay taxes upon importing into their home countries. In any case, the VAT is the highest in Europe of all countries I know... And you get major part of it back when you export.
