Here's a huge list of consignment stores

You know, I've been to the few consignment shops that I know of in this area, and quite frankly they sold a load of old crap. Yeah, some of them had Coach and Dooney, but they were so old they were almost prehistoric, and the prices on them were ridiculous. Also, one of the stores had some fucci and fartier(god, doesn't that sound awful, lol) jewelry, and they told me quite honestly that it was fake. I asked them why they were selling it then? And they said because they can!!! Hmmmm, not sure I can trust stores with policies like that.

Get out of here!!!! Are you joking?????

Although I actually laughed out loud at "fartier". Wow .. if I "can" jump off a bridge .. does that mean I should??? why would anyone do that???

Because they're greedy, first and foremost, because they're idiots second, and because they're cheats, third. They'd happily have cheated me out of my money if I'd wanted one of the items, with no mention about the items authenticity. That's why I don't trust them. If I hadn't asked them about the authenticity of the fucci and the fartier, do you honestly think they would have told me??? Hell no!
They're quite happy to advertise that they're purveyors of 'fine goods' that all their goods are of the 'best quality' and that all their goods are '100% authentic', and each and every item is checked by an 'expert' but then when a customer questions the integrity of their goods they quite happily admit to them being very good replicas. Well, maybe not 'quite happily', but they certainly admitted to it, once they were called on it!

You know what, seriously I think that this is what every small town, large town, city, metropolis, needs in this country. Each place needs a store that sells as new/nearly new name brand and designer clothing and accessories that are 100% authentic. They also need to stop robbing their potential customers (the sources of the items they consign. I appreciate that there is rent, wages, taxes, but the mark-ups are unreal. When you walk into a store the following week after the week prior they bought some of your things and all they offered you for a particular garment was $2. Well, then you walk in the following week and see the same item going for $48??? That's sheer greed. I know they have overheads, but that's ridiculous. And when you do see the authentic goods, a Coach bag, a D&B purse, they're so old. Yet they're almost asking retail for them! Crazy! And like I say, selling fakes as genuine? Unluss the customer has the know how to call then on it? No, no, no, no, no! I've though about doing this myself on the side. Maybe I will, we'll see.

Honestly, I wish I could talk to other like minded women about things like this. It doesn't matter if I'm in Florida and you're in Alaska, there's no harm with pm'ing each other with out ideas. I have ton of really nice clothes, books, bags, accessories and shoes I want to sell, I've started with Bonanza, but no go so far. Ebay's next I think.I want to go to school to become a nail tech and work from home as I'm not well.. I can see it in my mind now, a really pretty decently sized room, with one side taken up with the manicure table, pedi bath, gel table, etc. Whilst the other side has pretty shelves on the walls with clothes racks, and shoes racks at the bottom. There'll be tables to the front displaying nice bags. I like the sound of that, I really do.

Wow! That's so cool. I'm so happy for you, there's nothing better than a really nice consignment store with great authentic products, a fantastic layout, decent prices and nice staff. I used to frequent some nice consignment stores when I lived out in Cali, but haven't really found anying to talk about in the two years I've lived here. Fine by me, I'm only here for another year or so, then we should be getting orders again!

Mustard Seed in Bethesda, MD is OK for cash on sale. I went there for the first time today, they accepted 20 of my 25 items. You're allowed 25 items per visit. The owner said she really liked my pieces and would be interested in me bringing more!

Wow... it's exactly what I'm looking for.

Anyway, does anyone know who is [email protected]

They also are member of this forum who are : burberryprncess and Smoothoprter

Are they reliable?

Both of these ladies have been members of this forum for a long time. I think I've seen them in the Chanel, Bag Showcase and Authenticate This forums, whatever, the premier designer forums. Both are reliable. If I remember correctly, smoothoprter autheticated one of my Chanels.it was a few years ago so I could be wrong. As for the email address, don't know it.
