Me too. I have wanted a Love even before I knew what it was called. I remember seeing one in a magazine forever ago and falling in love. It is my most wanted jewelry item.

I have the wg love and a 36 mm bb in stainless and rose gold. I love the bigger size of the watch (I'm a petite 5 ft). If I chose between the two I would get the love bracelet if it's coming from a significant other because I love what it represents. Otherwise I would get the watch because it's so beautiful.

Thank you everyone for the responses. Now I am very very very indecisive on the choice. I have narrowed down to the 2 Cartier pieces...but now can't decide between the watch or bangle. I am not sure my significant other would buy me the bangle as he thinks it's a ridiculous price for a bracelet...however I would wear this 24/7 and can wipe it down if needed lol...the watch I wouldn't be able to wear all the time as I work in healthcare and can only wear cheap kind of watches and would be too paranoid...

@Ferdie_the_yak - when you tried on the bangle, you said you didn't like it bc it was too clunky? Aww man what a bummer! Did the 16 size fit you pretty well and doesn't come off? I have now got to try on the bracelet!

I fell in love with the BB, but the 36 was just too big, so I was super excited when they released the 33. I love my 33mm BB and get compliments on it all the time. I prefer to get smaller sizes for my more expensive watches as I think they will stand the test of time better. I like the look of chunky watches but wouldn't spend thousands of dollars on one. J12s have never done anything for me.



Also, I'd try the Love on as soon as you can. I loved the look of it, but when I tried it on, it just didn't look good on my wrist. It was too big and clunky and didn't fit right (I have tiny wrists and tried on the smallest size). So your decision may be made for you once you try it on!

I meant that it was big enough to slide halfway down my hand/up my arm which was annoying. Also it just didn't look right on me - it looked oversized, unwieldy and didn't fit as nicely as it does on the modelling photos I've seen on fellow TPF-ers. I also find it overpriced for what it is - for the price, I'd rather get an unbranded diamond/platinum bracelet. That said, I love my Cartier Trinity ring, so what do I know :p

From the sound of it, you'd prefer the Love as you wouldn't get as much use out of the watch. The BB is too pretty to just sit in a box so go for the Love if that's what you love (excuse the pun!) :smile1:

This is very difficult for me still!! I honestly CANNOT make a decision between the bracelet and watch!! Ahh! I was also browsing the Cartier reference thread and saw most ladies have the 36mm medium ballon bleu watch..I am kinda curious to see how the 33mm looks on others. It's kind of weird but I have a better view of jewelry esp watches/bracelets when it's modeled on someone else! I don't know why that is but I feel I can look at it better and more angles than from a mirror

I really like option #1! I have Cartier BB 42mm and LOVE it! If you love big watches then the size matters! LOL. I just bought a Cartier LOVE cuff and love it also but it was a gift to myself since Im still single!!! LOL. But you should have the watch first since it will be and iconic piece! The Cartier LOVE bracelet can wait till your DH buys you one for you since thats the true meaning of the bracelet! GL with you choice and post pics on what you decide! ;)

Ditto. I'd go for the smaller watch size too because with Cartier, you want it to be classy. Styles will always change year to year but classy will always be elegant.

I have the large BB, and a Love. I love both! Tough call.

I don't think large watches are a trend that you should be afraid of. I've been wearing mens watches since I was about 15, and I'm 40 now!
