do they make fakes of damier patterns too?
i also want something that is not replicated to too much.

They can make fakes of almost everything but you see more fake mono than damier but yes there are some fake damier out there, just not as often as mono since most people buy fake mono because it screams LV. Omg, did I write all that in one sentence?

for a hand held bag go for the Speedy 25 in monogram or Damiers!

for a shoulder bag go for the Batignolles Horizontal

since you like shoulder bags i'd reccomend the bagintonelles horizontal (spelled wrong...my french sucks). it's a really stylish roomy bag that will eventually become a classic (it's only been out for a year or so)... there's also the cabas bags...love those. cabas piano sounds like around the size you're looking for.

that said, i my speedy. i think it is an essential LV purchase. go to the boutique and try on every bag that catches your eye!! that's the fun of your first LV purchase!

Oooh your 1st LV is SOOOO exciting!!!!!!!

I got a mono speedy 25 as my 1st and it's such a classic, cute piece (and more affordable than most other monogram bags) but if you're after a shoulder bag I'd suggest you get something in the mono (just coz it's your first ).

If you like big bags how about the batignolles horizontal?

If you like smaller bags I've nothing but great things about the recital...
