I really love it, Moma. Good colors on you. In fact, this might be the cw I choose.

Hi moma!
I love the 90cm silks that you have shown, but agree that the tangerine moussie doesn't highlight your fabulous hair or coloring. I think it washes you out a bit. If one has to go for more storage of another colorful moussie, I say to rehome that moussie.

Brilliant idea !
So glad you found this thread! I know how careful you are about your own collections, and I thought it was much too selfish to use SoTD for this, LOL!

For @missmabel5 : I feel good about these - very happy scarves. The moussie is going away. View attachment 5682581View attachment 5682582View attachment 5682583
If I can share my opinion, the first one (I don't know its name) and the little duke fit you best. They are bright and you look radiant. The triplets are adorable! In fact, I think it's the apricot/peach that is less flattering to you than the warm, bubbly orange. I find orange difficult in different shades. If you like, I'll send you some photos too. It is important to say that your smile is very important. You can see that these scarves bring you much more joy!

Thank you for posting these!

I think all the colours in this Petit Duc are ideal for you, and the design is a combination of soft and sharp shapes that harmonise with you. It's my favourite on you. I agree with Coco that oranges are difficult, because there are so many shades, but for me, all these work well on you from a colour perspective. And you are a master in applying your makeup to complement.

The Triples is great on you in both photos. The second tie gives a softer, more rounded feeling, while the first tie showcases lots of different shapes in the scarf, and I think both work on you. The symetry of your second tie is great for your symetrical features. Not everyone does well with scarves that have a lot of negative space, but this still looks great on you in the second tie, where more negative space shows. And it has those great lemony clouds in some of the negative space - love those.

I hesitated slightly on what I think is Carneval de Venice. I think it is a combination of the colour being slightly washed out in that photo (your cw is this one, right? https://www.cornerluxe.com/fr/depot...s-le-carnaval-de-venise-en-soie-jacquard.html) and the volume of the tie being further from your face. The shape of your face comes to a delicate point at your chin, and I think I prefer you in ties that mirror that, being a bit wider close to your face and then tapering more narrowly as they go down, which all of the other ties you've shown here do. Even the second Triples tie, although it isn't overall narrower at the bottom, gives the same effect of narrowing because of the visible points of the corners of the scarf. This is just a personal preference though! And if that is your cw, I bet this is a stunning cw on you. Similar in the amount of colours and design elements to the Duc, but different enough to keep.

All this being said, there may still be room for the colourblock of that moussie, and it is a stunning colour. ;)

Fwiw, my 2 cents. Which is more like 25 cents.

I am not the moussie queen—you all have me confused with @lanit @Cookiefiend @bunnycat or @scarf1. I only have 8, and two are stoles.

A moussie is next up, by the way. Here’s the problem—the design is all in the center and it’s so difficult to show. So it just looks like a tangerine scarf (changeant, I think, but not dramatically so.)

How about a pic with no makeup and one with a little lippie: I had to fuss to get even this little bit of the design to show.

IMO this just looks like a generic, dare I even say cheapo scarf that you could have bought at a beach or something. Perhaps I'd feel differently if I could see the design. But if you're having trouble knotting to showcase the latter, I'd say get rid of it.
Do you have a particular attachment to the moussie format? I only have one and have decided to never get one again ever, because it snags if I so much as breathe on it! Very impractical format IMO. If you have the same experience, perhaps the moussies en masse could be candidates for rehoming.

The oldest purchase still in my possession is this Fetes du Roi Soleil, which I’m wearing today and forgot how great it is! Thank you.View attachment 5682057
KEEP! wonderfully dramatic, especially with the black sweater, and I love the jacquard. That's a special touch that you don't get with many scarves.

To be honest I only like the Triplets from among all these orange scarves. The mix of cream and bright orange there works great with your skin, hair and make up.
I personally find orange tricky to wear and match with clothes, accessories, which makes me ask he question "how many orange scarves does one really need?" So I would recommend to rehome the other two oranges. (Petit Duc especially looks rather generic IMO)

PHotos are great - send some - thanks! Yes, about the second one (Carnaval de Venise) - this design is my kryptonite and I have (or have had) about 10 different CWs.

This is SOOO interesting. Thank you! I never think about the shape of the knot and the shape of my face, so thanks for giving me a lot to ponder. I am such a lazy knotter - most of my knots are about how much of the colors/design I want to show, or if it's hot (want a loose knot) or cold (double wrap).

Thanks for your thoughts! Moussies are funny. I rarely reach for them, but when I do I am generally happy. They can be very warm in the winter actually, and you can be really sloppy with wrapping, knotting, tying, tucking in ends. But other folks here are really skilled at tying them.
