My daughter has this same bag and she LOVES it!
Actually, she loves it so much that I had to get her another one in the gray color.

beggarbaby said:That's weird... I got it at Nordstrom so it's legit... When did you get yours? Maybe mine was an earlier version?
I think the leather's substantial but I think it would break in and be a bit more flexible. I've just had bags with thicker leather...
Wow, where did you find these sites, bagolicious? The last two have some real nice bags. Bagsrcandy - love that belted hobo.
BTW, the iPad auto correct wants to turn your user name into 'bagel idiots'
Thanks for your help, Sue. I had an old leather LLBean backpack, weighed a ton but would last beyond the apocalypse!
Heck, I probably don't even belong on these forums: I own no LV, no Bal, no Chloe....nothing over $500. I just appreciate a well-designed bag made of quality materials. I'd rather have a two dozen of the afore-mentioned than 2 LV monogrammed bags. And I'm a leather junkie, pretty leather, thick and sturdy leather. The only bag I learned about here on tPF that I truly lust after is the Proenza Schouler PS1. But I'll never buy it. But I love the style. Low key, minimal hardware, good leather: right up my alley.

I was about to suggest PS1 in camel colour, I also saw suede....aaaaahhh, but price range is rediculous
of course you belong to this forum, everyone does, as long as you long for a bag, wish to find it, ask for help, any price range..this is what is great about tPF, there is a place for everything and always someone to answer your tread
I know exactly what you want, trust me, I have not found it myself...exactly that same....I am a prof and would love to have Indi's type of bag..I have never seen something like that, nor could I explain it ...not even PS1 would do really (even if it were affordable)

Is the real Indiana Jones satchel. I never paid much attention to the films and made an incorrect assumption that the Indy bag was a beat up leather bag.
So I guess I should amend my search to: Looking for a distressed leather satchel with front pockets that doesn't look like a briefcase. So many of this style bag look the same. I'm looking for one just different somehow.
Scaramanga bags are the right style, I wish they had front pockets, though.

But what's been so cool are all the other great bags and sites I've learned about thanks to all the friendly people here. I hope to see more suggestions.
The Coach Field Bag looks like a winner and I'm really liking the Belted hobo from Bagsrcandy. I emailed them to ask for more photos and I hope they will respond. I can't buy a bag from just one photo and not much of a description. Sure wish I could see this one IRL. It's one of those neat bags you won't see anyone else carrying.
Another great suggestion was MimsMaine on Etsy. Her bags are wonderful.
Thanks to everyone who has responded. I truly appreciate all the help!
