Help choosing 1 of 2 engagement rings

Ok...listening to what you said...

1)Your initial ring was a round and that pulls some weight here
2)Your husband really loves the round, so I feel that adds weight on the voting.
3)Since you are not overwhelmed and truly going toward the princess I would stay with the round.
4)Luckily, you look amazing wearing both

The round is what you know and have loved for many years...it is a classic...and your husband will be very happy. I do not think you will have any future regrets if you choose the round.

Did you also notice that when you started the thread you wrote the info for the round first and when you posted the pics the round was first and then the square in the first shots???

Yes I agree, everything to me seems like you have a preference for the round. You can't go wrong either way they are both gorgeous and look great on you !

Very good psycho-analyzing. I feel a break through with your analysis of my subconcious choices. But 1 thing:

When we 1st looked at rings years and years ago, the first ring that I felt giddy over was the princess in a diamond district. In 1994, Tiffany didn't have princess cuts so I fell for the round (as I really wanted a Tiffany being a big Audrey Hepburn fan).

So this was a surprise to see both and love both!

For those suggesting cushion cut,

I thought of it but am very drawn to sparkly. The Novo wasn't as bright/sparkly to me (good thing too since the 1 they had me try on was almost $200K - yikes). They said that that was the nature of the cut so I likely was not gonna get better than that (how it looks in the ads). Who knows maybe it was store lighting. But it eliminated that choice for me.

Winston has the radiant cut (a softer square said to have as much sparkle as a round) but the two I saw were less sparkly than my old small ring :-(.

So its down to just these 2 rings.

Yeah DH will be happier with round. But more happy not to hear me obsess.

this is a really difficult decision. the round is and always will be classic. the princess is nice and refreshing, yet still classic. i think i am leaning towards the princess. cause you are what you wear :smile1:
