I went to a Christmas party last night and it was super fun. But now I'm tired and trying to gather energy for a 60th birthday party tonight. Having a cup of tea to see if that perks me up.

Hi Mish! :D

Today I've eaten nothing but trash! Had a garage sale this morning w/ my aunt. Donuts, fast food burger, Guess next I'll have a tub of Cool Whip! :sick: Must get back to better eating when I get home. I've lost almost 15 lbs. on my divorce diet! :nuts: Dropped a jeans size! (Don't get too happy for me; I'm simply getting back to the size that I should be.)

Speaking of the divorce, we just might be done this coming week. I would have like to go back home tonight, but almost ex-DH wanted to come over and bring movies (He's so delusional. Thinks we'll get back together. And I've been very clear that we will not.) So I'm stalling/hiding at my mom's, but she's out of town. Wish it wasn't a 2+ hour drive home tomorrow.

Clutched - Glad you are getting all that behind you! Congrats on dropping a jean size! That's awesome!

Sally - My best friend and I used to take a B Vitamin and drink a couple cups of tea before going out at night. It really worked I"m pretty sure.

My butt has gotten quite a lot larger than it was too. I lost a bit and then plateaued. Jenni - how do you spell that anyway...

When I get home I am renewing my commitment to baby boot camp!

DH is making chicken cacciatore and I've got a full glass of chianti at hand. BUT he's major nervous about Nebraska v. OU (his father is a Husker NUT and DH gets anxious anytime they play, much less for the Big 12 championship...) so I put on SATC, which just made him more cranky. So I'm having to settle for Jaws. :weird:

At least I caught Carrie's Vivienne Westwood dress!:love: Makes me a wee bit sad for my brown silk JCrew cocktail dress. I shoulda held out for more!

Clutched - Yeah, it isn't fair, but it's ok. I just remind myself of my cute little baby and everything is fine again LOL. Glad you're feeling less 'meh'.

Jenni - I can't believe you are settling for Jaws! At least dinner sounds amazing!

My 5' tall 75 y.o. mom is decorating her 12' tall death trap of a Christmas tree. I'm cuddling with a "freshly bathed in the kitchen sink" Chlöe.

Clutched, I just went to a wake and then binged at Applebee's... we had like 9 appetizer platters on the table, and the menu shows the calorie count... I'm talking like 20,000 calories!! I'm feeling gross.. :sick: Feel better now?? :laugh:

I'm gonna wake up with Nikki Minaj's butt. :push:

Meeesh!! I can almost smell kitchen sink clean Chloe from here!! Give her a huge wet smooch from her Aunt Cho!! :heart:

Sacc, you might also look at Anne Carson's NOX and Cole Swensen/Thomas Nozkowski's Flare... I love both of the poets... Flare is a bit more art-book, although the Nox is an interesting piece (one long sheet, folded, in a box).

Just got home after 6 straight hours of work with more to come tomorrow plus an invasion of frat/sorority horribles tomorrow night..20lbs of yukon gold potatos, 10lbs of onions, who knows how many lbs of apples..and Mom is coming.

MT..OUCH on all points..Clutched, Cho, Mishka, all and sundry. TBH, I sometimes thought of my body as something between "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" and that scene from "Alien" that Mel Brooks made fun of in "Spaceballs"..KWIM? All I know is things rearranged themselves into contou, curves and convexes that were quite a bit different from where they were with each successive pregnancy regardless of where my weight was post partum.

However, I am not one bit sorry..at least about that aspect of having children..the others....

Drinks anyone...everyone..(virgin drinks for moms to be sound a bit oxymoronish..no)?

jenni - I have a friend who would LOVE that edition of Pale Fire. I'll poke around and let you know if I find anything. looks like gingko press is local so I'll call them on Monday.

ETA - i found an email address for them to try and order. I'll let you know what they say.
