@floodette - I hope it's okay to ask: How many bags do you currently have in your collection?
it’s 18 bags ranging from balenciaga part time size (big) to balenciaga first size (small), 7 woc or bags that i use as woc, 4 clutch and 2 longchamp tote for my ballet bag

most of my collections are veneta bags, balenciaga moto bags, and ferragamo sofia in different sizes and colors.

As for the purchase side of things, I'm now happy after finally getting my hands on a LC LPC Mini. I got the roomy little bag that will serve so many purposes. Plus, it's red! Yay!
From now on, I'm concentrating on selling. I've realised I have some bags I don't have a bond with and that don't really get enough use. They shall leave my bag closet this spring.

I can finally say YES!!
Such a great feeling.. :)
After spending my time and money during 3 years, I finally got there..
I have 12 premier (including 2 small evening bags) and 2 contemporary bags and that is enough for me.
I wanted to stick at 10 but I cannot see myself selling any of them.
I can say that my collection is probably already outdated because I own mostly Mulberry bags from Ema Hill era and some not that new style from Balenciaga..
But I absolutely don’t care :)
They are my bags, I love and use them all!

Yes. I have bought and sold so many bags over the past 15 years and as I have aged I have realized exactly what I need. What was wonderful 10+ years ago (a Balenciaga City or Chloe Marcie, for example) are not so wonderful (on ME) now. So, I consider what I have as almost ideal for this stage in my life. My 2 bags that I have wanted for a long time and finally have - 2 Birkins - really made me realize that I now know my style and what I need. I have a Hermes Evelyne, a Chanel black Jumbo, a Chanel red Jumbo, a Chanel black patent WOC and a Chanel navy blue GST that fit most occasions. The only other bags I have now are a Celine Luggage, which is 7 years old and my beater bag that I use for work when I sub in schools (it's under the radar and I don't mind if kids spill on it or bang into it), a Prada purple nylon crossbody for outdoor kid stuff with my son and a few smaller bags from Olympia Le Tan, The Row and Marc Jacobs. The only bag I truly want (do I really want it?) at this point is a Hermes Kelly, but if it doesn't happen I will be OK because the bags I have will last me forever.

I'm so happy to say yes i am satisfied with my bag collection. It took 3 years and a few trial and errors buying bags that were beautiful but just not my style. Those bags tended to be too bright whereas i tend to dress in muted tones.

So I'm happy to say that i have bags and SLGs for every occasion/season/weather and in the colours i love. Bag peace achieved :flowers:

I think I am at that point. I have a total of 14 bags (not counting clutches/wristlets) including nylon totes (1 LC, 1 Esprit) for work. More than two weeks worth of bags is too much of a hassle to switch bags. I’m still on the fence regarding the 14th bag. I love the colour (red), shape and minimal silver hardware, but it’s not genuine leather. I can’t find a genuine leather bag designed like this so this 14th bag may go back. I find a lot of red bags are made with gold or brass hardware and it makes the bag look more orange than I would like.

Yes yes yes ! I recently retired and find I’m enjoying all my bags now ! I wear one usually a week at a time and change, especially when I go out with my friends!-then I pic ond and it’s special for that day .
I have about 20 bags and several accessories and scarves/LV and am truly loving them now !
I purchased a preloved black and cream Chanel and now my collection is complete [emoji3][emoji3]
My adult daughter borrows them and I’ve given her several , which she adores!

Yes. Especially since I realized I have too many bags for someone who is either in a backpack, or no bag if wearing a hoodie (everything I normally bring fits in the two pockets of my hoodie).

I actually want to let go of a lot of my bags but I'm struggling with the losing-money-if-I-sell-for-a-loss thing.

You sound young?? If so one day your needs and likes will change and many of your bags will become used and loved. I wouldn’t sell unless I actually didn’t like the bag any more or I needed the money for a new bag or other reasons [emoji4]

I only have one special order that I’m waiting for and then my collection is complete. Need to downsize and pass on some designerbags I nolonger use. Very happy with what I have and if I was to continue collecting I realize my next bag would come with a pricetag I cannot justify. So better finish now, I already have plenty.

yes and it took me about 10 years
also my preferences changed over the years so i will enjoy my bags now and the fact that i am not looking for anything else to fill a hole in my bag wardrobe but i am sure as i go past my 50s (and beyond) i might have different expectations and needs that may call for some changes in my current bag collection.
