Has anyone seen the MK bags that look like speedys?

The shape of a speedy may not be very unique, so I don't blame them for making bags in that style. However, the colour combinations of the azur and monogram appear to be blatantly copied so I highly doubt these were not "inspired".

The shape is just that of a doctor's bag - it is not unique to LV, nor were they the first brand to promote a bag in that style. As others have said, look at Gucci, Burberry, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood... many top designers have bags in the same/very similar shape to the Speedy.

I saw several designer bags with the doctor's bag shape of the Speedy the other night on Bluefly. Ferragamo even has one.

Here is an MK 'mirror speedy' I saw at Macys today. I'm wondering if the leather on these bags darkens like LV. I saw a lot of people w/the MK bags but the leather was light. Didn't like the 'neverfull' style bag. It felt and looked cheap. Some of the other bags were nice.

I am actually contemplating an MK Grayson satchel in the mirror finish, because I always wanted an LV Miroir but just couldn't justify spending the funds on such a blingy bag. I have never been able to decide if I would carry a bold silver or gold bag.

I was just going to post this! There's also a Totally lookalike too. My DBF even sees the huge resemblance. We held my NF up to the MK one and it was a true copycat, it looked exactly the same but worse quality (at least the one we looked at was - it was falling apart).

The one I saw at Macys today was of poor quality, also. And the price was $100 +.

lol- every company has a Speedy bag. From Guess on up to Chanel and Gucci. It's a very common design- but I could see where you see the influence in colors.

No offensement with MK fans, but I'm not really fan of this designer because I noticed most of his designs are not original. I am ****ed off when I saw a copy of LVneverfull at Holt Renfrew. I don't know why there is no patent of design of LV bags and they can't sue MK for copying lots of LV designs, but LV have sued Dooney before.

MK not only has LV copy but also he copied Mulberry/ Hermes design. I have never entered in any of MK store or had interested with any of MK brand products even though he's cheaper.

yup but I agree with mizz-tiff as she very calmly and rightly points out--the initials are MK instead of LV. And there, my lovelies, lies the ultimate difference, no? End of story. Let them copy all they want. After all, no MK will ever be a Louis Vuitton, just wannabes.
