Has anyone debated lately about selling off their whole LV collection?

Personally speaking, I don’t wish to sell all my LV items, especially the styles which works for me. I am to send off to fashionphile my Ivy (due to the belt buckle to open and close the bag), and the neo alma bb in Cherry Berry because of the long strap and how it just pokes out and swings when I walk. I’m pretty sure whoever will purchase these bags will be very happy because I have barely used them.

Reviving this! But it’s this question right here that made me start backwards lol. Meaning, instead of going from LV to Chanel to Hermes(as I feel is the natural progression of designer lovers), I started with Hermes and am just now working my way to LV. In college I would lust after canvas bags especially the trendy new releases, and 4 years later I’m soooo glad I never bought them.

That said, the only LV items I’m interested in are about 3 or 4 vintage bags that are classic mono and a few empreinte pieces(bum bag, multi pochette, recto verso card/key pouch), and some shoes/RTW, that’s it! I hear too much about bad quality for me to waste my money on anything else tbh.

No. I have gone through phases of buying and using bags and accessories from other brands, and it’s mostly those that I end up selling, almost always at a loss. I wouldn’t say it was a waste of money, because at the time I liked and enjoyed using them, but ultimately I personally always end up going back to LV. The vast majority of my collection is LV. I do have bags that I love from other brands — Gucci, Mulberry and Balenciaga for instance, but LV has always been my favourite. I don’t feel that the notion of “progressing” to other brands from LV is applicable to me. I started becoming interested in and buying LV almost twenty years ago, and I still don’t want anything from Chanel or Hermes.

I’ve sold lots of LV pieces that I wasn’t using and that I didn’t think I’d miss, and added others to my collection in their place. Some of those sales I very much regret. I know I would end up regretting it if I ever sold my entire collection. I may of course fall in and out of love with the brand or with particular pieces in the future, but I can’t see myself ever being over LV completely.

I toyed with selling several LV bags plus some others (Chloe, Givenchy, Burberry, Prada). I took pictures, sent them to Fashionphile and Fashionphile gave me solid quotes. That's when it got real. I had to decide how serious I was with parting with them and I learned it was not as easy as I thought. Out of about five LV bags, I sold one. As I was trying them on, I just couldn't do it. I parted with the Alma PM because I didn't like how the bottom sort of stuck out from my body but the rest I kept. It was a real lesson for me but I see many others that sell their LVs and don't regret it at all.
