Hammered Gold Alhambra - Still a long wait?

My SA just told me they’re still waiting for November preorders to be fulfilled … 🥲 I think I’ll be lucky if I get mine by the end of this year. Placed deposit last month
Well they haven't even completed October pre-orders as that is when I prepaid (beginning of month) for mine and told still a long wait! Said to not expect it for a long time. Been almost 6 months. Frustrating everyone gets different information.

I placed an order for rg 6 motif sweet bracelet and rg 10 motif necklace at the end of October and they were both ready to be picked up at the end of February
Which botique did you order from if you don’t mind sharing?
Also, I saw the rg 6 motif sweet bracelet available to order online beginning of February. I think it’s interesting that you can pre order and wait months for item, yet the same item can be offered online to purchase and receive the item within a few days.

Boutiques and their website have different inventory system & allocations, that's why. They also have 20 motif YG hammered on the website for the past few days, looks like it has just been sold.

I’m in Canada. I ordered the 6 motif hammered rose gold bracelet at my local boutique on December 1, 2023 and it arrived on March 8, 2024. At the time of order, I was told that it would take ~6 months. I would like to also get the hammered rose gold ring in the sweet size to match but it no longer appears to be available for purchase : (

Does anyone have a recommendation for a SA to help with an order for a 10 motif YG hammered necklace order? A local boutique told me the piece hasn’t been in production for years which doesn’t seem to be the case.

Some hammered and other popular pieces are on a waitlist basis for ordering, which opens at times and then closes for awhile as they get caught up with orders. Hammered YG 10 motif is one of these items. Ask to be put on the waitlist and if they say the waitlist is closed, ask them to notify you when it opens (they probably won’t) and therefore keep asking every month or so if the waitlist has opened, or better yet, keep checking on tpf for a post from someone with an fyi that the waitlist has reopened. Several times, I have known a waitlist has opened, my SA said, “No, still closed…”, but when I gently asked her to check again, it was open. For me, the wait averages about 4-6 months once I am on the waitlist (100% prepaid in USA, not prepaid in Europe).

Thanks. Today I spoke to one boutique who told me the wait list is closed and another boutique who told me the waitlist is open and they would set up a profile and send me a payment link. Does that sound like the usual procedure? They said 12 months or so once payment in full.

Sounds about right. Popular pieces tend to require full deposit. I also had to put in full deposit for the sweet 6 motif in hammered.

Yes! That's the usual procedure, it may come sooner, but expect the full time and then you may be pleasantly surprised. The last two pieces I had to wait for, I was told 6 months and one was just about 6 months and the other was about 4/1/2 months. Prepayment in full is the usual now. I am so glad that you found a SA who was able to add you to the waitlist. I have this necklace and I love it, so I'm sure it will be worth the wait.
