Hall of Shame: Post the Ebay H Fakes Here!

I'm sure you're right! Wouldn't it be wonderful if Hermès published an on-line database? The name of each scarf, the artist, the release date(s), the colorways, and the formats. They must have all the information stored somewhere. But I suppose there wouldn't be any reason for them to do so.

You just need to find a job as an archivist at H. Where, I'm sure, you'd have to sign a non-disclosure agreement ;)

Ooooh I dont know ... C est la Fete ...

This is a very hard design to tell from photos. In general most photos are not good enough to say definitively

Yes the red/blue one does seem to be a fake but I am not sure about the light gray / ardoise one

Those «muddy» colors are hard to photograph , all the cws look alike in photos, & there are some weird details on the real thing that actually look fake to me

Hi I am new here. May I ask how you guys identify a fake Hermes bag or scarf? Can you teach me some basics that I can look at when I see a bag or scarf in a second hand shop? Sometimes it is hard to ask the experts here to authenticate because the items are not posted online. Thanks

Just asking again if people would please NOT post items here if they do not know with 100 per cent certainty that they are fake.

Thanks.

Even assuming that the problems with the details of this scarf are the result of some sort of blur (and there are problems visible; one might look especially at the stars at the top near the title, or at the horse's hooves)-- there are still issues a bad photograph can't account for. Of the seven colorways of C'est la Fete, there's one that contains a couple of the colors this scarf contains, but not in this configuration. No matter how bad the photograph, this scarf doesn't correspond to that colorway, unless yellow can photograph as black, which would be extremely surprising. Unless there's an authentic C'est la Fete colorway that never appeared on this forum, I feel no doubt about this one. :flowers:
