Have not seem the Half Moon in at least a year. The Chain drop is the same as a Classic WOC. I think the last collection it was in was 14C, and the price was 1500.00. The same price as the timeless CC WOC was before the increase in 2014.

I was looking for one too but I only found the suede version in Rue Cambon a few weeks ago. The SA said that there are no more leather half moons, as they stopped producing them.

I bought a black half moon woc for my mom around 14C and I think the price was either 1500 or 1600. Chanel has not released any new half moon woc for more than a year. My mom ended up not keeping it (got a black old medium boy instead) and now I wish I had kept it for myself. Haha.

All types of wocs have gone up in price since then by a few hundred dollars. Timeless CC WOC increased from 1500 to 1900 so if Chanel brings back the half moon woc it would probably be around that price.

The strap length is longer than the medium classic flap. It's similar to other woc styles which can be worn crossbody.

I'm pretty sure that's the classic clutch, and not the WOC.

I noticed that in Europe they call the classic clutch "half moon", so I had to show the SAs a picture of the half moon WOC in order to explain what I was looking for.

I had my chance too, and I still regret not going for it.
Oh well! I hope Chanel will bring it back at a "reasonable" price sometime in the future :p

Got mine from a reseller last year, it's from 14C collection
Which was bought in the beginning of the year
So I think you may get one.. Don't tink they would stop production on them
Also..
I saw a orange n olive green in Lambskin too in my local boutique last year!

So keep looking n good luck :)

Sorry you had this experience but when I asked for the half moon in Amsterdam and in Nice they showed me the half moon and not the classic clutch.

Why do they use the same name for two different bags? So confusing.

I was surprised too. This happened to me in London last year, and in Paris and Rome a few weeks ago (this time I was prepared to show the SAs pictures LOL). Weird! The SA in Paris told me that Chanel has stopped production on the leather version. I was so disappointed :hrmm:

For $3000? The bag is $1500!! Wow. I've been looking for one as well and I hope they bring it back at some point. I regret not getting one when I had the chance. But no way am I paying double the price lol.
