Oh my @Helventara - your plume with that gorgeous blue batik💙 you look lovely in your Obin skirt/shawl, and thanks for the bonus pic of Christine LaGarde in a more traditional scarf rather than H silk, I love her and her 35 Birkins and her style. Sometimes I must admit to a tiny fantasy that if some pompous banker at some of the many meetings she attends gets rude, she can whap them with her Birkin, straighten her scarf and go on speaking. Sorry, couldn’t resist 😝View attachment 5952646
Thanks for starting this thread! Great idea and an inspiring, refreshing change.
Here’s my contribution: Plume 32 vibrato that happens to match a hand-drawn Indonesian batik cloth from Obin (a great batik designer from Indonesia). These types of clothes are meant to be worn as sarong skirt but I wear it more often as shawls.
Another one: K32 with skirt made from leftover batik cloth pieces. Also from Obin.

Bonus: Christine Lagarde with Obin scarf.

How wonderful you all look! Love how you’ve been able to wear your beautiful wedding outfit as life moves on, and your pico and orans look great paired. Wonderful looking family!Cool to have this thread! Thanks for starting. Here is my contribution. I am wearing my traditional costume known as baju kurung. The top is actually part of my wedding outfit which I have since then paired with a skirt that is more casual, less elaborate.

As always @Prada Prince, you look marvelous! I love your jewel tone thobe with that dreamy pop of a fortune cookie Lindy. And jewel tones are fabulous, can’t wait to see your colors for Eid this year. 💛💙Loving this thread @Rami00
Here’s me in my thobe for Eid last year with my Mini Lindy - I loved pairing two jewel tones together for the festive season!
I’m trying to decide on this year’s colour, haha!

Show us how you wear your H pieces with traditional | cultural wear. I’ll start..
This is just magnificent. It reminds me of being in Delhi 20 years ago for work and staying at the Oberoi, where I used to love the people watching whenever there was a big wedding or other function taking place. I always felt like a little mouse next to the most glamorously dressed, bejewelled women I saw attending those functions. Thanks for starting the thread!
