Literally my first ever comment here, and I am not trying to come into defence of the SAs.. As a matter of fact, from my past experiences, almost every SA I come across in Tokyo, especially the ones at Ginza were by far the most polite across the globe (based on various store visits in Hong Kong, Bond Street and Cadogan Square in London, Rodeo Drive, Madison, etc.) And frankly speaking, the SAs always reserve the rights to hold up bags for their regular clienteles and not for the ones who think they are entitled for a bag upon their first visits. I had been fortunate enough to score some previously at the Ginza store, where the SAs, I believe, do have a tendency of filtering clienteles.

I don’t care whether it is rare or not. After all, I love the bag. It doesn’t really matter. I am not a superficial person after all.
Lol alright, someone actually just stated moments ago she is entitled to the so-called rare bags while sharing her score. I was just sharing my two cents, never intended to hurt anyone's feeling/ ego. Whether being seen as superficial or not, that's another subjective matter..

@Bagtilious Seems that I am also the one who is entitled to the rare bags. See what I have scored today from Japan.

Congrats on your Constance!
I was wondering if you would mind sharing whether you have a purchase history at the store or if you have an established relationship with the SAs?

I visited the Ginza store a few months ago. They had a herbag on display. I asked to try it and was met with the least enthusiastic person ever. She did not say one word to us - it was as though she was a mute.

Didn't buy it anyway due to her terrible manners and the fact that the bag was in a bad condition, it was black and you can see all the dust at the bottom.

I have to say both my husband and I were quite taken aback by the bad service. It was Japan afterall, a country where manners are so ingrained in the culture.

Hi all, I'm going to tokyo on this Sat, would like to know how much is a b35, and is it easy to get it if I queue in Ginza store in the morning. THanks
Birkin35 is ¥1,400,000+tax8%.
I think it's tough to get it.
But after trying at Ginza boutique, you can try at any other boutiques like Nihonbashi Takashimaya and Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi.
Nihonbashi is near from Ginza. Only 2 stations.

It seems Tokyo has rodeo stocks recently.
Scored two rodeos ( Malachite, Blue Zanzibar, Lime) ( Orange poppy, Rose Azalee, Blue Zanzibar) in Tokyo (two different outlets) this week. Both were on display.

Would advise visiting Ginza store during the week (vs weekend) as they tend to get shipments and be less busy on weekdays. Went a couple of times this past week and also scored rodeo, bag strap, and offered a couple of exotics. (I am not a local client)
