i found the serial no.!!!! yeah!!!

its hidden behind the blue portion. and it is camouflaged to a certain extent..phew...

You haven´t post pic of the serial no in the authenticate thread :confused1:,
Ewen when there is a number - is not the same as it is real. :sad:

I was wondering the same thing. I bought my wave hobo at the Gucci boutique in Canada (so I know it's authentic) and a month later, saw a wave hobo on ebay with the exact same serial numbers top AND bottom in Austrailia. The bag also looks authentic. Any thoughts?

ok.. pls pls pls can anyone clarify the serial numbers and solve this mystery..

here are two bags with exactly the same serial number.. and whats funny is i had one in black that i recently sold.. turns out -- all three had the same serial numbers!!?? ..good thing i sold mine just in time!!:shrugs:

then when i googled the numbers which are 000-1956-0531 about 5 other ebay adss came up with the same numbers!?! :push:

so were all of them fake?? they all come from reputable sellers who've claimed them all to be authentic with money back guarantees... :confused1:

i recently asked a gucci sales lady to explain the serial numbers for the newer models:

upper 6 is the style number
lower # is the control number -- which should be unique to every bag, the number of numbers (4, 5, 6) could vary depending on how many were actually made

but she coudn't answer me on the vintage styles so i'm still baffled if gucci ever came out with identical sn's for the vintage models.. which i'm obsessing over now!..

bags of the same style have the same serial number, counterfeit bags have also.
Only pic of the serial number says counterfeit or genuine.
when the seller writes serial number, it is not enough, only pic tells

thanks!.... but i'm "pretty" sure mine ended up being fake bec the "GUCCI MADE IN ITALY" tag inside was strange looking.. it looked stamped on, not printed, so the silver paint was actually "bleeding" into each other, i doubt if gucci would've let that bag out of its quality control room? and for a vintage model i had doubts the serial should still be that clear like it was stamped on yesterday.. i read that in vintage models the sn is almost faded to nonrecognition..

so i sold it for really cheap and didnt claim its authenticity. i'm just regretting not taking pics of the tag and serial number so i can show you guys..

now i'll never know..:confused1:

I own a black, doctor style Gucci bag with the "G's" facing in the same direction, printed diagonally- meaning the G's are not "mirrored" of one another. The serial number is 000.58.0256. They are not in two rows. I figured since I bought my Gucci from a Gucci store in Hawaii back in the 1980's, it looks different in fabric design. Anyone else in the same boat?

vintage bags have serial number in one row, try to put some pic in the thread Authenticate This Gucci i think some girls can tell you
