Don't you just hate it when you've been saving up for a bag or putting off the bag for later then when you get ready to buy it you discover the price increase! UGH! Yet, it's so funny how some ppl on other threads think that Gucci has cheapened or lessened itself because of the sales or as some have even said (that really irritated me) that Gucci has made itself tooo available to just anyone. As if there are rules on who or what kind of person should be able to own a luxury brand bag! Sorry I'm ranting now! :rant:

Rumor has it that Chanel will also have a price increase towards the end of the month. I wonder if LV is planning on a price increase as well. They all usually blame it on the weak US dollar against the Euro.

They probably will blame the weak US Dollar against the Euro/GBP but I bet then it strengthens they won't reduce their prices now will they?! :tdown:

OK, forget 10% - more like 20%. Croc wallet went from £795 to £995 so we are not talking pennies here.

How can we all save and be good when we know overnight things can increase by 20%?

^It is odd that some bags went up a lot more drastically than others. The regular boston is just up by $10 while the guccissima version is up by more than $100. I also noticed the sukeys increased but only by $25 so it's not too bad.

With the recent LV price increase, I was wondering if Gucci will have one too in the near future.

I have my eye on the Gucci belt bag and am trying to decide if I should buy it sooner than later if there will be a price increase.

Does anybody know if there will be a price increase soon? How often does Gucci increase their prices - is it across the board or on certain handbags?

Because Gucci have new designs all the time they tend to calculate 'increased' prices for new items only. Then again, prices did go up last year in the period before the sale. Prices increased across the board 10-20 %

Having said that I have already noticed a 5-10 % price increase in fine jewellery, that happened about a week ago.

Has anyone else noticed any other prices going up of existing products?

Thanks for the input papertiger. I hope not as well - need to built up funds b4 I can buy the belt bag. I spent quite a bit buying 2 LVs before the price increase - glad I did though as both went up by 10% after the price increase.
