I needed black shoes and a belt with the blue and red web to match my new velvet Gucci bag, and then the Ophidia bag happened along the way. I guess I'm going through another Gucci craze no thanks to my velvet bag for reigniting my love for Gucci. 20191108_203851.jpg The Ophidia bag is really cute! I love the Ophidia line and I finally have a men's bag from this line.

20191108_205046.jpgI already have the GG Supreme patches bag and was afraid it was too similar to the Ophidia bag. They're both flat cross-body zipper messenger bags in the same Gucci colorway, and I usually don't prefer this simple style of bag although they are very easy to use (they are small and keep the hands free). I'm hoping that they look different enough to justify owning two similar style bags.

What a great haul! I think the bags do look different enough - the new one can be used both casually or for a more formal look because of the leather strap and more classic front design. Congrats!!

But I think that's what I liked about it. It was so different from my other bags.

Averagejoe inspired me to try out the ophidia. I also saw a nice black messenger. Which one do you all prefer?

(Hint: I‘ve already decided on one but I’m interested in hearing opinions.)

Both look fantastic. With the outfit you have on the black looks so sleek. But with jeans and a casual outfit the ophidia will look great too.

It was a tough decision since like you I loved both. I ultimately went with the black one since it is a bit bigger than the Ophidia. Personally I felt that the blue/red strap matches the blue/red stripe on my Gucci aces.

I‘ve honestly never expected to become such a fanboy. I bought a lot of Gucci stuff recently and it just happened... they really make nice designs and quality wise they are great (unlike LV IMO)

Plus they seem to give out very nice shopping bags for the holiday season (see pic)

Congratulations on your new Gucci! I personally prefer the style of the Ophidia more, but with the outfit you wore to the store, I think that this black one matches a lot more.

I really like Gucci under Alessandro Michele. I didn't understand his designs at first but now I'm hooked! It's still sometimes a bit hit or miss for me, but when it's a hit, it's a hit alright, for my bank account!
